I bought it when it was on sale. Still very pricey (well, at least to me). But for my first kid, she sat only for about 2 months and never willing to sit on it again. Then for my second kid, whenever I tried to get him to sit on it, he only sit for 15 second and he struggled to get out. Since he had enough strength to hold and manage to get up himself, he refused to sit in it. I would not recommend people think of their need before they buy it
Bought one of these bc of all the hype about how they were the wonder product for babies. We've used it maybe 3 times bc its such an ordeal and takes two people to get my 4 month old daughter in and out of it. She has chubby legs and while she's comfortable once she's in it we have to bend the plastic and pry her out. Not a fan after paying $50 for it at Wal-Mart.
This chair was FANTASTIC. It was perfect for bringing on the road as a high chair when visiting or in the hotel. You can sit on the floor with baby and with the tray they are not always trying to get out. There was a safety issue with the chairs not having a seat belt, but Bumbo sent them out when you requested them. Although I do not see the need for it if you are not planning on using the chair propped up on a table or chair. I always used mine on the ground. Another this this chair was good for was taking photos of baby. In the fall, we would take the chair with baby and cover the chair in fallen leaves so it wasn't noticeable and you get great shots of baby sitting up in all the beautiful fall leaves.
There was a lot of hype about this product, so I bought it for my little one. Turns out this is one product I did not find useful. It's awkward and bulky and she really didn't like it. We even bought the tray to go with it, but their too little at this age to really take advantage of the tray. My little one just kept knocking toys off it, which made more work for me. A boppy pillow around the back works way better.
Worked well for 2 of my kids but only for a very short period. Children tended to want to be mobile in the seat, which is uncomfortable for them and requires constant supervision. Sitting the child on the floor with a brestfeeding pillow behind them ended up being a far more effective, and cheaper, way of doing business. Great resale value though!
I loved this seat but only for a short period;. My son would start to arch his back and get out of it... awesome for camping too...I did use it as a chair to feed my little guy too but always supervised.
I would recommend the bumbo as it was great for sitting my baby in when he wasn't moving around. The only thing I disliked about it is that they only really use it for a month. Well I guess it depends on the size of your baby. But all in all great product !
the price you pay for a piece of foam for your child to sit in is discusting. and how many months would you really get out of the chair 3 at the most cause whos child wants to be left in here. no mine and careless people not paying attention to there child in the bumbo children tend to get harmed. not a fan at all
The quality of it is great, but for my son it just wasn't worth the purchase, even used. He's not a chubby baby, but he was always big for his age and his legs were very snug in it, and he really just didn't enjoy being in the chair. We used it maybe 6 times and then I sold it.
My Kids love these my oldest is 2 and still fits it( but she is small for her age), and my six month old loves it too. They sit side by side and watch tv while snacking on Mum mum cookies, we got ours used, the cost for these brand new is not worth it. but a used one is the way to go.. and make sure you get straps for it.(bumbo give them free from their web site)
