Not hip safe for babies

I used it a bit for my first daughter as a portable high chair type seat. It worked ok, though my daughter's thighs get too snug in the leg holes. My second daughter had hip dysplasia and I learned that this style of chair that holds the legs in a forced forward position is unsafe for infants' hips. I would not use this chair for a baby except for maybe very short durations. They would need a wider leg position to make this seat safe and usable.

Useless product for babies

This product really isnt necessary for babies. By the time it was actually safe for my son to sit in this ( good head control) he was too big for the seat! A better option would have been a soft fabric sit me up seat. This seat was so expensive and its a new mom “ must have” but theres a real reason you see so many on buy and sell groups for so cheap. Theres no reason for a small baby to be artificially seated beafore he/she is ready.

I have had four kids and none of them enjoyed spending time in the chair for more than a few minutes at a time. The tray is a good idea but cumbersome to Get on and off with your child in it and if your child is chunky it's almost impossible to get them in and out of the chair with the tray on. I found this a total waste of money and am glad it was a gift because I would have never paid for this product having used (not used) it

I had received this seat as a hand me down and was excited to use it as I had seen it on so many "must have" baby lists, I was less than Impressed to be honest. I don't see what the big deal with this chair is, it's expensive, it wasn't the easiest to get my daughter in and out and for a baby of average size she always seemed to fall to the side so I'm not sure how that supposed to teach her to sit.

Je n'aime pas dutout le Bumbo. Mon fils n'avait pas un bon support dorsal malgré qu'il soit capable de se tenir assis seul. Je trouve le produit aussi cher.

I never understood the bumbo craze. Any child I've ever seen in one looks so uncomfortable. Little babies aren't suppose to be able to sit up like this. To me it just seems like a money grab. You're baby will be much happier laying on their back or having some tummy time rather than being forced to sit up in this.

My son was too big to fit into the bumbo when he was at the correct age, the only time i could get his little legs into the seat was when he wasnt able to support his own head totally and i could have him in there like that, It was a super disappointing purchase, i wish they made them for bigger babies!

Ma fille n'appréciait pas être assise dans le Bumbo. Je trouve cet objet complètement inutile. C'était dangereux pour qu'elle tombe sur le côté ou sur le dos. L'enfant qui ne se tient pas encore très bien là-dedans n'est à mon avis pas très confortable et l'enfait aime pouvoir bouger. Comme il ne peut manger là-dedans je n'en voit pas l'utilité. Je l'ai essayé 1 ou 2 fois et il est resté dans le garde-robe aux oubliettes.

My best friend used a bumbo for both of her sons and she loved it so I got one when I had my son. When he was big enough to use it I tried it but he didn't like it. I assumed he just needed to grow a little more and decided to put it away for a while and try again later. Every few weeks I tried it but he really didn't like it and looked so uncomfortable. Though some babies and parents seem to love them, unfortunately my son did not like it at all.

When i got pregnant with my daughter I went on a hunt for all the must have baby products. While on the search I heard alot of moms talk about the bumbo seat and how amazing it is and so on. As a gift for my baby shower I received one of these seats and was excited to use it. When my daughter was born she was rather tiny weight wise, but as soon as a month hit she got chunky. With that said when the time came for her to use the bumboo seat her thighs were so thick that it was hard to put her in, none the less take her out the whole seat would come up with her. The sides looked like they were squeezing her legs and she just didnt enjoy it at all. The back rest was too low and the seat was not adjustable. So even though the idea was nice the seat did not work at ALL for us.
