Love them
I love BG diapers. Great fit on my son, great product quality, and the price is reasonable. I do believe my son enjoys them. I would buy again if I needed to! I recommend them :)
One of the best cloth diapers
I had decided to cloth diaper my son when I was pregnant. A local store offered a test drive program with different brands of diapers. After using a different brand when he was younger, I decided to switch to bumgenius because the fit was better and they were adjustable to grow with him. The inserts weren't enough for my heavy wetter, but I bought a different brand of bamboo inserts to add it and it was the perfect combination. I am still using them and he is 2.5 years old. They also come in list of colours and prints. One of the best!
While BumGenius is the brand you see the most in the cloth diapering world, they are not my favourite. The colours and prints are nice, but I found the 4.0 has a super wide crotch and doesn't fit nicely. Also the one 4.0 that I had the elastics went on it within 9 months of use, which is NOT an optimal life span for an expensive cloth diaper. I do not recommend Bum Genius as I never got a good fit or a good life span.
I am a cloth mom. This is my second baby using cloth and the brand I use the most for pockets is BumGenius. I have mostly 4.0 bought new and used. I used the microfiber inserts for about 1.5 years until they smelled so much I had to get rid of them. However, this is a common issue with microfiber, they have a short lifecycle. I now stuff them with prefolds.
Color of fabric stays very nice despite constant washing. They have cheap elastic and hook&loop;replacements for when they get old. I have changed those myself and it was really easy.
They have really cute prints for the little ones as well!!
I absolutely love the BumGenius brand. I have many different colours and love them all. So easy to use and care for. I don't know why cloth diapers ever went out of style.
Love the colour bubble, it's too bad that it has been discontinued. The snaps are great, I prefer it much better than the hook and loop especially now that LO is older, he is fully capable of undoing those with the hook and loop closure. The 4.0 is a pocket style, stuffing them could be annoying at times but the fact that the way they work is so similar to disposables that even daddy and grandparents can't say no to. Bumgenius is definitely one of the pricier brands out there but with the way they have held up for me for 1.5 years and they have a fairly good resale value, I would still recommend it!
Bumgenius were my favourite cloth diapers. I recommend snaps over hook and loop because toddlers can easily figure out how to undo velcro. There is also a strong following for BG diapers, so it's fairly easy to sell them when you are finished.
