Not for me
I really like the look and feel of the container. It’s made with jojoba oil to nourish your lashes and beeswax for great texture. It’s also 100% natural. However I find it made my already long lashes look shorter and clumped them together.
Clumpy and looks messy
This mascara was good at lengthening my lashes but didn’t give them much volume and it was clumpy and made my lashes stick together and look messy. I didn’t like that the black mascara was in a brown tube either.
Not good.
I'm at my wit's end with Burt's Bees. I love the idea of more natural products, but overall I end up hating their new line of makeup items. This mascara did not buck the trend in that regards.
Here's what I liked about it. The colour. That's it. I thought the brown colour was nice and natural and it felt comfortable on my eyes as well, I suppose.
The real problem with this mascara is, obviously, all the things I didn't like about it. The formula was really dry, thick and flaky. As a result, there were so many clumps. Even after combing my lashes through a lot, it still looked pretty clumpy. The effect isn't even stunning, it's a natural everyday wear mascara, but I would want a clump-free mascara for that.
On top of that, it smears. If you rub hard when it's dry, it still smears a little, but mostly stays put. It's not waterproof, but it is in fact the least waterproof mascara I've ever tried. At one point I yawned and my eyes misted... thank goodness I wasn't in public because when I went to the bathroom I looked like a raccoon. Usually I prefer waterproof mascara's for this reason, but this one runs so easily even compared to non-waterproof mascara.
Unless you want to spend the day with clumpy lashes, dabbing at your eyes and covertly checking in mirrors, I'd avoid this one.
