Natural Lip Scrub
I really like this Conditioning Lip Scrub by Burt's Bees and will most likely be purchasing it again because it does such a great job at removing chapped or dead skin from your lips but it doesn't leave them feeling dry but conditioned like it says. Yours lips literally look and feel so much better after using this product especially in the long cold winter months. Get yourself some Burt[s Bees Lip Scrub and its very reasonably priced in comparison to other lip scrubs. It's a good purchase for sure.
Leaves my lips super soft
I have loved Burts Bees chapstick for a long time. During the cold months, my lips stay chapped. Sometimes to the point of bleeding. I started using this a few weeks ago, 2-3 times a week and it has made a world of difference. My lips are so much softer, even between chapstick applications.
It isn't too gritty and the excess wipes off easily. It is pretty sheer once absorbed.
Nice All Natural Lip Scrub
I use this at least once a week just to get off all the dead skin and it does a great job! It doesn't taste as good as some of the others I've tried but works just as well and will last a long time since you don't need to use a lot of it. I recommend using this along with Burt's Bees Overnight Lip Treatment and Lip Butters because I feel like they all work well together!
Disappointed with this!
I love Burt’s Bees products but was disappointed with this. When you scoop the product out of the jar, it feels like it’ll be really exfoliating, but once it’s on the lips it’s almost as if the honey in it starts clumping up on your lips. This makes it difficult to get a good scrub going. However, the formula is moisturizing and does soften the lips.
A life preserver for your winter lips!
I purchased this scrub because I'm having issues with chapped lips this winter. Since I returned from vacation in Mexico, it's been a battle. This scrub smells like honey and feels like a wee piece of heaven. A gentle exfoliation is all you need with a small amount of product. It mentioned to wipe off excess but I only used enough so that I could leave it all on, then headed to bed. It also did not leave a superficial waxy coating. In the morning my lips weren't dry so I will continue to use it a couple of times a week. This is now a staple for me. I can tell already.
Ok, but won't save badly damaged lips
I used both the Intensive Overnight Treatment and the Lip scrub and while I definitely liked the treatment more than the Lip Scrub, both were good and worked well with each other. Let's talk about the Scrub first.
My main problem with the Scrub is I felt like it couldn't really tackle my dry skin as well as I needed. I have famously damaged, texture lips (from years of biting them, I've since stopped but the damage remains) and I feel like it's possible I need a heavier duty scrub, so it might work better for those with less damaged lips. For me, it started to take off the dry skin, but only half and then it became attached on one side and had to be painfully pulled off. I'd expect the scrub to help take it off. I'd recommend it for those with already nice lips, who want to keep them in tip-top condition, but it's not a miracle worker.
The scent of the scrub is pleasant and the overall feeling isn't too rough (like a soft sugar scrub), but I do feel like it felt behind a kind of oily sticky feeling. I'd rate this 3 stars, but do recommend it when immediately followed up by the overnight lip treatment.
