amazing product!!
I finally bought this product and was happily surprised at how extremely well it worked without drying out my skin. I have eczema so my skin is very sensitive and prone to breakouts and I found this product to work extremely well for me. it left my face feeling cool, refreshed and soft. I would recommend to anyone with skin sensitivity. I will definetely buy again.
Worst product I've ever purchased by them. This stuff will not rinse away cleanly. You apply it and it becomes a slip hazard in your bathroom. It is essentially like applying strawberry jam all over your body and feeling sticky after. I've used countless scrubs that use other natural ingredients like sea salts or ground walnut powder to give the same scrubbing affect. I usually love Burt's Bees products but skip this one and make your own scrub at home.
I am not a huge fan of the scent because it is really strong and really sweet. I do, however, love the way this makes your skin feel. It is not rough when you use it like some scrubs and it leaves your skin feeling unbelievably smooth. One of my only complaints though, is that the seeds are really hard to get off completely. They linger xD
I'm really loving this Burt's Bees Cranberry & Pomegranate Sugar Scrub!
I enjoy using body scrubs in the shower and I've been through two or three tubs of this stuff in the past few months.
I love the natural fruit scent of this body scrub and how it's 100% Natural (although on the website it says it's only 99.1% Natural?!).
The body scrub contains quite a bit of oil, so I would suggest avoiding it if you're not the type that enjoys an oily body scrub. With that being said, it really moisturizes my skin so nicely that I don't use any moisturizer on my body after using this in the shower. Plus pomegranates contain several polyphenols and anthocyanidins which are both high in antioxidants and are great for anti-aging....so more reason for me to love this!
Unlike some other body scrubs that last me quite some time, I end up using this Burt's Bees Cranberry & Pomegranate Sugar Scrub quite quickly for some reason (maybe because I use a lot at time since I love the scent?!). Because of that, I like to pick this up in the States since Burt's Bees products are more affordable in stores like Target than they are in say, Pharma Plus / Rexall (a Canadian drugstore).
This product smells so nice! It's fruity and has a long lasting scent on my skin. It seems like a little bit of the product goes a long way so good value for your money. It's not as smooth going on the skin as other scrubs I've used before (not the texture of the Body Shop scrubs) so it gives me the impression it's probably actually exfoliates better. The one big draw back for me is the oily feeling it leaves on my skin. Once on the skin it repels the water even after rubbing the skin for a long time. I also found it left a residue in my shower and made it rather slippery when the shower was still wet. Overall, decent for exfoliating but don't see myself buying it again due to the residue it leaves on my skin and tub.
I am absolutely crazy about this scrub! First of all it smells divine! It's so fruity and fresh and your entire bathroom will be filled with the scent once you start scrubbing! I used my hands to apply it because it doesn't really lather too much, but it does feel really soothing on my skin. It also contains large beads for exfoliating which tend to get lost if I were to use a loofah.
It leaves a bit of a coating on your skin - but not in a "I didn't rinse my body wash off completely" sort of way. It was as if I already applied a lotion! I was all set to moisturize after my shower but I truly didn't need to after using this. (But do make sure that you rinse off really well, I'd say an extra minute or two longer than other products because this really sticks to your skin).
I received mine from the brand but for only $14.99 I will absolutely be picking this up again once it is available on store shelves in September 2010. I am SO impressed.
