I wanted to love this, but honestly... didn't
Profile: Light-fair skin, oily t-zone but mostly dry skin, and sensitive skin.
I bought this product online a while back in two colours (online purchases are not great for makeup that way). I've never had a natural foundation and since I love Burt's Bee products overall I was eager to give this a shot. First off, looking at the product - the consistency is good for blending, it definitely has a bit of a funky sweet smell that dissipates however after application, and the colour (once I got the right one) was a decent match.
I tend to apply this product in small amounts with a brush or my fingers, and I find that it tends to crease or spread poorly in more "oily" areas of my face - such as the chin, and under eyes. I haven't found a way to fix this and tend to use it very infrequently due to this issue. Overall, I would probably try a different natural foundation brand over this one that better suits my skin quality. This product wasn't super cheap either - which makes it a bit more disappointing.
Couvrant
Love the natural glow
I got this at winners for $6.99 and figured heck why not try it for that price. I have combination to oily skin and this foundation really worked for my skin. It didn’t settle in my lines and gave a natural beautiful glow. I wouldn’t call this full coverage, I’d call this medium coverage. It’s not greasy, not cakey and doesn’t have a strong fragrance. It didn’t break me and after 6 hours of wearing it, it looked even better and even more natural. This is definitely going to be my go to foundation from now on.
Burts bees goodness glows foundation
I was really looking forward to trying this foundation, it didnt dissappoint but at the same time i am not super happy with it. it creases easily under the eyes and it goes into any facial creases but at the upside is it gives you a great glow and has good coverage. i would recommend thias product but it really depends on the look you want if glowy then yes. just make sure its well blended under eyes.
truly is full coverage!
I have combination skin prone to break outs, but I also work in a beauty boutique which means I need to wear glam makeup. This foundation has never made me break out and truly does deliver a full, beautiful glowy coverage! Only issue is it has a slight smell, which I don't prefer in my products.
Like paint
So I’ve tried this as a sample and it literally is like rolling on paint and it is sticky, I don’t like it for myself it’s to hard to blend. I love that it’s organic tho
Just alright
I tried the Goodness Glows and I thought it was just alright. It has a really funky smell that I'm not a fan of. It is light coverage, but definitely workable. I do like how it's natural though.
Great Glow!
I loved the glow from this foundation, wasn’t too heavy but still have a great cover and finish. My only complaint would be the scent, it was just a bit too strong for my liking. Didn’t smell bad was just very potent.
A+
This is a great foundation for those who are looking for the light coverage and natural finish. It will not cover any imperfections, so keep that in mind. But at the same time it’s not noticeable on the skin, doesn’t dry it out or exaggerate pores and feels very comfortable.
Hmmm...
God. I never tried a foundation so many times in order to get it right! First time, I put on WAY too much! Actually, I put my usual amount, but it was too much for this product in particular. I ended up with a very powdery and not so natural looking face. The second time, I tried it with less product and a primer underneath. I found it left me with a little oily finish look. I haven't had oily skin since my teen years so that took me a little bit by surprise. I don't know if it's the combination of the two products thought that didn't worked out. The third time, I applied a little bit of product and no primer. It worked well. It's definitely a light and more "natural" looking foundation. If you're looking to cover up some imperfections or you like full coverage foundation, this is not for you. I have mixed feelings about this product. On one hand, I personally love that it has light coverage, that's what I look for in a foundation. It gives me just enough to give me a glow without having too much on my sensitive skin. It has natural ingredients and I like that. I was scared the shade was too light, but it matches perfectly. On the other hand, I'm still trying to figure out the perfect amount to apply, the texture (oily) and the smell (it isn't bad, but it hasn't a lovely smell either). I'll keep trying for sure to make it work.
