How could anyone not like this? [ Unless you don't like honey.... :( ]
This lip balm is smooth, goes on completely clear and smells like honey, which is delicious. It is supposed to be 100 % natural, which is always a plus.
My absolute favourite is still the original which has peppermint but for the quality and price [and yummy scent] this product delivers just as well.
** My bf really likes when I wear this too, he says it smells like flowers =P **
I've wanted to get a Burt's Bee's lip-balm FOREVER. I was looking at all the different choices, trying to pick one and I figured that the one with sunscreen in it would be better than just the regular one.
Honestly, next time I'll be going with the original. The suncare one is waxy and hard. I found that it actually made my lips look drier. This can be solved by taking an old toothbrush or a sugar and honey mixture to my lips but still.
Its also kind of pricey for a lip balm. My regular chapstick is only $2 but of course with my new all-natural obsession this seemed like the best route to go.
Ugh. What a waste of money! I LOVE the original Burt's Bees lipbalm, but this one completely misses the mark- I don't know if they completely changed the base, but it doesn't soothe my lips like the original [they dry out while wearing!] and the taste is HORRIBLE! The smell leaves something to be desired as well.
Eww. Get the original instead!
I bought this lip balm thinking it was the original one. But, unfortunately this was their new lip balm. I didn't like it at all. It has a very strong smell that I didn't like. I even had my husband ask me what was that smell after I tried to wipe it off. I did not like this product at all.
I've heard a lot of positive reviews about Burt Bee's products so I decided I'd test out one of the lip balms. The first time I put it on I thought it smelt odd, but that's how it should smell. I continued using it and now I actually quite enjoy it. It's good for wearing before going to bed because it's light and soothing. I wouldn't wear it during the day because of the odd smell. I don't think it's as moisturizing as the product claims, but still not terrible. I don't see myself buying it again, but glad that I tested it out.
This product was a big letdown for me. :( When I bought it, I had read top reviews about it, but once I tried it I found that it doesn't last very long on the lips, plus it kinda smells funny. It's not very moisturizing and I had to keep re-applying frequently for the best possible results. My friend bought the Pomegranate one and she liked that better, so I'm going with that one next time around!
Pros-Stays on for a while. Works well. Nice packaging.
Cons-The smell. Doesn't smell like honey to me. Smells like the original Burts Bees with baby powder.
I prefer the original Burts Bees lip balm to this one. This would be pretty good, if it wasn't for the smell.
I love burt's bees products in general, In fact they had a four pack for around 10.00 floating around Rite Aid's and I imagine other stores of the like.
Pro's: Work's as well as all the other BB's products, Great price,
Con's: the smell of the honey chapstick, is mildly a put off, It reminds me of baby oil, or powder.
I purchased this product in 'honey' and I love it. Tastes great, smells great, works GREAT! It was a little hard at the beginning to put on, sort of came off in small waxy bits, but once you work it in it's fantastic. In fact, I think i'm going to head to my purse now and put some on...............
It was actually pretty soothing and moisturizing, but there were little beads or something in it that really got annoying. Plus, I kept it in my jeans pocket one day and took it out to put it on, and it was all soft and melty, and those little beady things came off on my lips. It was really annoying. But it was still a pretty good lip balm, I just wish it didn't melt in your pocket.
