I am a regular user of the lip balm - but for whatever reason this product was a huge miss for me. I got the strawberry 'flavour' in one of my beauty box subscriptions. I disliked the texture, consistency and most importantly the colour. The scent was quite nice though, but that is about the only thing I enjoyed about this product
I purchased this product...I believe i chose the watermelon colour.
i think this was the first time that i haven't like a Burts Bees product.
I found that this product had a very offending taste to it. And of course since it's on my lips I couldn't help but get some in my mouth from time to time.
And it didn't go on smoothly. For me it was too thick and went on my lips clumpy.
I will say that I did like the colour...but other than that I didn't find it met my expectations for a lip balm
I bought this product for $6 and for the price this is not worth for what it does. I picked up the shade watermelon and on the cap its a mauvey pink color. The product color is pretty accurate to the cap, but there's hot pink shimmers in it. When i apply it to my lips its pretty frosty looking. Maybe the lip shimmers are supposed to do that. This product also wears off pretty quickly and when it does, it makes my lips feel really dry. Though when you freshly apply the balm, it gives a really nice tingly feeling, which is nice.
If you have dry cracks in your lips, this product escentuates the cracks. These lip shimmers feel really smooth when you apply them and they smell like mint which is something i love!
The only reason i didn't this product is because they look frosty and frosty lip products don't look well on me. But if these were on sale i would probably try them again in one of the darker colors. :)
I received my Burt’s Bees Lip Shimmer in Cherry for free in my July’s GlossyBox. It’s available at stores such as Walmart and you can buy a 2.6g lip shimmer for about $5.99. I hadn’t ever tried the Burt’s bee’s lip products before and because in my opinion they want too much money for the amount of product that they give you and I just never really thought about it. Their web site says this lip shimmer is supposed to give you a kiss of color and pearlized shine add a hint of glamour. I don’t know about all that, but it does give you a nice touch of color with a bit of a shine. How ever this doesn’t last for very long and it would need to be reapplied through out the day. They also say that it can condition, smooth and highlight your lips. I didn’t find it all that conditioning and I definitely wouldn't tell you to buy it if that was the most important thing you were looking for in a lip balm, or stick. It does give you a nice touch of color and is available in twelve shades. I was expecting it to just give me a bit of a reddish pink color, I didn’t know it would have a taste to it. After applying it is when I discovered this cherry lip shimmer actually had a mint taste to it that I didn’t really care for. I feel the Burt’s Bees Lip Shimmer in Cherry is something made more for a weekend of camping, or for teens and younger woman. It just wasn’t something I particularly care for when there are so many other products for lips that I feel are better products and better suited for a woman of my age.
Not a huge fan. I found it weird and the coulour makes it unbearable. I bought two of them, different colours, all excited to have a natural coloured lip balm/, only to be dissapointed.
The texture is weird, doesn`t hydrate at all and the colours are truly horrible.
Not worth it
