Tried it
I stumbled on this the other day. I do love Burts Bees lip care line.. I had to try it. A good price and value. stays on is effective. The downfall for me was the brush itself.
Works well
The mascara in classic black does the job of lengthening and it doesn’t flake off. No sensitivity noted to my eyes after wearing it for a period of time.
Natural Look
I have naturally "fair enough long lashes". They are not out-of-this-world long, but I'm happy with them ;). I'm always more on the lookout for thickness and full volume lashes so, of course, I felt like this mascara didn't meet my demands. BUT, on the other hand, Burts Bee's are well known for their natural look makeup brand. And that's exactly what that mascara did. I looked natural and I was still happy with my lashes and the overall look I was pulling of. Would I wear that mascara on a night out? Probably not. Would I wear it casually during the day? Yes, why not! #freeproduct
Great quality for a 100% natural product.
I first bought this product when it came out about a year ago and have been loving it ever since! I was so happy to see an all-natural mascara that's available at major retailers - so convenient!
It comes in two colours: Classic Black and Black Brown. Both colours come in brown packaging, but you can check the label to find the shade you want. I find the mascara clumps more easily than the name-brand types I was used to, so I keep an eyebrow/eyelash brush on hand for touch-ups when putting it on in the morning.
I was feeling adventurous
Until recently, i didnt realize that burt's bees brand expanded into foundations, mascaras etc. So i decided to give this one a try. The idea of having "natural" ingredients appeals to me.
it was great, I'm happy I tried it.
Dissapointed
I really wanted to love this mascara as I am a huge fan of Burt's Bees and natural makeup in general. This 100% natural nourishing mascara fell short for me however. I found the brush quite thick and hard to maneuver around my baby lashes and corners of my eyes. It was also really hard to coat my bottom lashes without making a mess of my waterline. There is a nice amount of pigment and it definitely darkens the lashes but I didn't see a huge noticeable difference in lengthening or volume. I love the addition of Jojoba Oil but I don't really understand the need for "nourished" lashes. I think that is kind of a bogus claim. It retails at $13.99 which I think is fair for a 100% natural beauty product - I just wish it lived up to it's claims and was effective.
