Bon produit
I liked the cranberry flavour
I received Canada Dry Diet Cranberry Ginger Ale free from Chick Advisor's Product Review Club for testing.
I don’t drink soda that often. I never had this cranberry flavor but had regular ginger ale before. The taste is fantastic, it still maintains it's original ginger taste which I like, and there’s no caffeine in there as well.
My husband did try the Canada Dry Diet Cranberry Ginger Ale but he said that the Cranberry flavor is overwhelming and he finds that the soda extremely sweet. On the plus side of Canada Dry Diet Cranberry Ginger Ale that it is sugar-free but it has “aspartame” which is not good either for the individuals who are on diet or have any other health issues.
A childhood favourite - now sugar free!
I received a coupon from ChickAdvisor for a free 12 pack of Diet Canada Dry Cranberry Ginger Ale in exchange for my review.
I have always loved cranberry flavoured soft drinks, but none ever came in a sugar free version and I could never justify the calories of the regular.
This new flavour is amazing! It's not overly sweet, is bubbly, with a lively fruity flavour. It doesn't have the aspartame aftertaste that can be present in diet beverages.
The flavour is subtle, but really does feel festive! It's a gentle pink colour that would compliment holiday gatherings and would likely pair well with spirits (although I personally do not drink).
The price was the same as other 12-packs of soda.
The diet version was incredibly challenging to locate for me (even in a large city), so if you're lucky enough to find it, I would stock up!
I sincerely hope this flavour is available in the coming years.
It’s okay
This isn’t bad for a diet soda but I just prefer the regular to be honest. But I think that for a diet drink it’s the best that I’ve ever tried. The taste is similar.
Wow
J'ai reçu ce produit en cadeau et j'ai énormément apprecie. Wow pas trop sucré,une très belle couleur et j'adore le goût. Je le recommande assurément a tous.
Sweet Drink
I got to try the Canada Dry Diet Cranberry Gingerale for free. I do like the flavour but found it to be a little to sweet for my liking. I will likely only drink it once in a while. I do think this would be perfect in a punch which is what I am going to try next.
No longer seasonal, great all year around
We got the opportunity to review this product for free courtesy of Chickadvisor for an open and unbiased review. We chose to go with the Dietr Canada Dry Cranberry Ginger Ale. I’ve always been a fan on the regular ginger ale especially when I have an upset stomach. Seems to do the trick and makes the tummy settle down. At first I was worried about this being too sweet and this typically is the case when companies add additional flavors to their beverages however this was not the case. This is the reason we chose the diet version. This drink still maintains the original ginger taste with subtle notes of cranberry. It’s not over powering and just slightly presents itself letting you know it’s here without making you pucker up like straight cranberry juice. This also does not leave that dry grittiness feeling left in your mouth after drinking cranberry juice.
This beverage is great on its own but also perfect to add to a cocktail, with its vibrant color, fizziness, this give endless possibilities to get creative. This flavor use to only be available during fall and Christmas but seems like it is now available all year round.
Bon, mais...
J’ai essayé la version avec aspartame. Le goût d’aspartame est trop prononcé pour moi. Je suis déçue. Je vais essayer la version avec sucre avant de me faire une idée plus précise.
I liked it compared to the Schweppes
I am a gingerale drinker, and generally I don't love the diet gingerale flavour. This one was pretty good. It does have the "fake sweet" kind of taste that I don't love, but the cranberry flavour seems to mask it pretty well. In an effort to cut out the sugar of regular gingerale, I would repurchase this. There are definitely worse tasting diet beverages on the market.
An interesting twist to our favorite ginger ale
When I had my first drink of Canada Dry a few years back, I denounced my loyalty to Coke. The regular and its diet version have become my favorite soft drink brands ever since. I have never been a fan of fruit-flavored drinks, much more fruit-flavored soda, but I don't dislike them. I get them every now and then, especially when a new brand or flavor comes out of the market, out of curiosity and so I can tell myself that I've tried them all. Recently, I got to try Canada Dry Diet Cranberry Ginger Ale for free. I'd have to say this drink doesn't taste like Canada Dry at all--or at least the regular Canada Dry that I regularly buy. I have tried Canada Dry with lemon or grapefruit flavor and you can still get hints of the regular Canada Dry ginger ale taste in spite the extra flavor. However, this one tastes like sweet cranberry-flavored wine. In other words, this ginger ale would be perfect for cocktail. I may purchase Canada Dry Cranberry again in the future but rarely so, while I'll stick to the original flavor that I continue to love.
