Good Ingredients, Horrible Taste!
I was so excited to see that Canada Dry has removed corn syrup from this product line!!! Seeing cane sugar back on a label was wonderful, we were super excited to give it a try.
That's where the excitement ended. Nobody in our house can drink this. It's bitter beyond any product we've ever tried, with a bizarre after taste that is sweet. It doesn't mix well, it doesn't accept muddled berries, it's really bad.
We WILL be buying the other products in the line in hopes of finding a winner because we want to support them introducing better ingredients back in. This just isn't the one for us.
Disappointing
I was excited about receiving this product coupon from ChickAdvisor. The problem is I had to go to 4 different stores to find it (I searched for it on the supermarkets of the provided list). I ended up finding it at a Metro in a neighborhood far from my home. I even asked the management of the other stores, and they didn't carry this product. I am not sure if it is a brand new product or if it is just unpopular.
After finally finding it, I ran home and let it cool on the fridge to try it out. Unfortunately, I found this Tonic Water disappointing. It tastes more natural than other sodas, still, it is really bitter and tastes unpleasant.
Not even a mix of alcohol and fruits made it better since I could still taste its bitter aftertaste. And, for the price of almost $6, I don't find it worth it. This product wasn't for me and I am sad to say that can't recommend it.
Bof
Disappointed
I really wanted to like this product. I love the bottle and packaging and it’s premium ingredients but I found it has a very funny aftertaste. Unfortunately I wouldn’t purchase this product and that fact it’s only available at Sobeys in Atlantic Canada does not make it convenient to purchase.
Way too much sugar!
I received a coupon to try the Canada Dry tonic water for free. I was looking forward to trying it because it looked like a nicer tonic water than the regular ones in cans and I loved that it was in glass bottles. I saw it on the shelf and was impressed by the nice packaging but not impressed by the price. I thought it was over priced. I redeemed my coupon and brought it home to try. As soon as I got it home I took a look at the nutritional panel and was shocked. 21g of sugar in each little bottle, I was not impressed but decided to try it anyways to see if the taste was good. It was not, The beginning taste when you put it in your mouth is not terrible but the after taste is really bad. I mixed it with some gin and lime juice and that did not help either. The worst part though is the grams of sugar per each bottle. I will not be buying again or recommending.
Take a Pass on the Tonic Water
I was able to find Canada Dry Premium Tonic Water at Safeway, but they were almost out. I took this as a good sign. I was unable to find this product at Superstore. My coupon to receive this item for free was accepted without any issues. The packaging is attractive, but you only get four 237 mL bottles for the price of $5.49. In my opinion that is too much for what you get. In comparison you could get a box of 12 cans of tonic water for cheaper. In addition these are not twist off caps, so it's a bit inconvenient if you wanted to drink this on the go. I did not like the taste. At first the bubbles are nice, but the after taste is hard to swallow. I tried mixing it with peach juice, but this didn't make it any better. I'm currently breastfeeding and choosing not to drinking alcohol, so I did not try it with tonic's best friend gin. I would not purchase this product or recommend it due to the taste and high cost.
