    A high school must!

If you're a mom and your kids are in high school a scientific calculator is a must - if you;re a college student studying any form of maths or science subject, buy one of these!

I don't know about the US or Canadian curriculum but in UK high schools there's a lot of emphasis on learning Algebra equations for which a calculator with an extended scientific function is useful and UK high schools also involve a lot of chemistry and physics in the science curriculum especially coming up to the GCSE years. One of these calculators will ensure you're never out of your depth with coursework or your kid's homework!

    Works very well

If you’ve never used a scientific calculator before, you’re in for a treat when you crack open the user guide that’s included, as it’s absolutely MASSIVE and includes all sorts of information covering dozens and dozens of things you can use this calculator for. If you’re using this for school or university courses, it should certainly come in handy. If you’ve NEVER used one before, however, the manual is a bit too daunting to be helpful, so ideally you’ll want to give it a look when you’re a little more accustomed to the calculator.

The calculator itself comes with a case that can be kept on the back when not covering the calculator, but which is helpful to keep the front from getting scratched up in a backpack or locker every day. The calculator itself seems very sturdy, and the buttons are good quality.

It also comes with two different battery options, a solar battery as well as a replaceable internal battery, and between the two of those it should last you easily to the end of the calculator’s expected life.

Overall, this is a good calculator. It’s sturdy, covers all the basics (and then some) that students might need, and even comes with some advanced instructions to help with the more complicated functions.

Small note: The number four on this calculator is the style show here (4) so you can't write words with h anymore, like hello. Alas, we can't have it all.
