So I will admit firstly that this is a very costly purchase

If you are into photography and want to treat yourself though, you might want to consider this camera :)

The deal at henrys is awesome, and they have amazing service. I purchased my camera at the Waterloo store, and went with their 100th anniversary bundle. It came with the following which in my opinion is way better than saving a little at best buy for the camera alone:
    15.1 MP Digital SLR Camera
    w/ Canon EF-S 18-55 IS Lens and EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 USM II/IIIAF
8GB SDHC Card and at the time I bought a 16GB card
    58mm Filter
    RC-1 Remote,
$80 School Of Imaging Gift Card (good for one 3- hour class- can be camera specific= very cool)

First off, I liked the fact that this was bundled with everything I needed to get started. From day 1 I could take a wide range of photos and everything worked great together. I ended up using the school of imaging certificate for a Henrys Canon DSLR class which I found pretty good in getting used to what my camera can do.

The camera itself takes amazing photos- pretty much pro quality on full auto. If you like to play around and enjoy photography as a hobby you can pretty much modify every setting and really start to have some fun with it.

I absolutely don't have any sort of buyers remorse; I have already taken some great pictures that I would have never gotten with my point and shoot and can't wait to get even better at photography!

Its very easy to use so dont get intimidated. For the first little while I just used the auto setting but now that I am getting more comfortable with it, I will go into P mode and change some white balance and focus settings to get the picture I want :)

If you can afford to treat yourself, do it :) you will be very happy with your purchase!

We recently attended a wedding for a close family member and got some great shots that they were really happy with. If you are an amateur to avid photographer who wants to get pro looking pictures without dropping huge dollars (aka 4000) on a camera body and still get some lenses to play with and learn more with, this is a great package and I would recommend it to anyone!
