I received a sample mini size of Cargo's LashActivator mascara in a beauty box not too long ago, and from day one it became my go-to mascara for three specific reasons.

1. The wand is flexible and rubberized, and the length of the bristles was quite smaller than a regular mascara wand, BUT that worked in the brushes favour because you could actually drag it along your eyelashes easier.
2. I'm not sure what this "primer" is, but it totally works. I wouldn't use the Cargo LashActivator for days when i wanted FULLY LOADED lashes, but the formula helped separate each lash and the mascara accentuated a day look quite nicely. I also noticed that fewer lashes came out when I wiped my mascara off at night. It always removed neatly.
3. The mascara was durable. I would put it on in the morning and it would last until late at night. Normally I don't find that the less dramatic mascara lasts that long, but the LashActivator does.

I recently finished my mini, but I will totally consider purchasing the full priced (appox $25) when I'm done with my current stash.

I'm using Cargo LashActivator mascara for the first time and I really like it. I have it in brown and use it to wear to work during the day. It separates my lashes nicely and adds a good amount of color but isn't globby. I have short eyelashes and I think it makes them appear longer. It has good staying power most of the time, but on occasion I find a bit of mascara "dust" under my eyes at the end of the day.

I got this product in my Luxe Box by Loose Buttons, and I love it it goes on effortlessly and looks amazing on. I would buy this product once I'm done my sample.

OK so I thought I would buy this as a cheapter alternative to the other eye lash growth products out there. Cheaper meaning under 100.00...this is still 35$...anyways I have been using this...and I kind of see a difference, but NOT MUCH...it requires too much dedication, and I find that its not practicle. The mascara alone does not give you enough WOW factor to wear it alone, I always feel like I need to use another one on top...too me that it already too many steps for every day. Also, god forbid you ever rub your eyes...you end up with this huge smudge of this stuff, and you get the lovely racoon eyes. So ladies just save your money.

I too have messed up with this - in love with another mascara, I didn't realize I was supposed to use this exclusively, and so am not sure if it's made a difference. I probably used this once every 3 or 4 mascara wearing opportunities.

To be honest, I was a little underwhelmed by the mascara itself. It wears fairly well, but I don't know if it was notably better than a cheaper brand. As the previous reviewer mentioned, I would like to see this as a primer or perhaps as a more liquidy lash care product (overnight use?) for improving lash health. I don't know that I would rely on this product for everyday use.

However, I am definitely willing to give it a try. I can certainly use a boost in my natural lashes!

LashActivator mascara is designed to grow your lashes longer and fuller. (!!) A break through product, if it actually works!

I am on my second tube of this and finally have an opinion. I screwed up with the first one because I was alternating this mascara with several others. You need to use this consistently every day to see results. With the second tube, I have been using it religiously.

I thought the concept sounded too good to be true and contacted CARGO to find out how this could possibly make your lashes grow up to 169% as they claim. Here's what they said:

All lash follicles go through three stages in their life cycle: growth phase, transitional phase (lashes stop growing), and rest phase (lashes shed). With ageing, the rest phase increases gradually which means the already short growth phase for eyelashes become further compromised. The multi-faceted lash-enhancing complexes improve the quality and duration of the growth phase while delaying the onset of the rest phase.

Marine Algae extracts increase the appearance of lash density, citrus-derived Flavonoids promote micro circulation for optimal lash health, and a Peptide-biotin complex slows the rate of lash loss.

My opinion?

My lashes do look fuller and a little bit longer. Not dramatically longer, but certainly more than there was before. If I go without mascara and just use my eyelash curler they do look better than before. Even my husband noticed today and said my lashes used to look more sparse. I have also noticed less lash loss when washing off my makeup at the end of the night. I think this is a great product for improving overall lash health.

I'd love to see this in a base coat formula where you can layer your favourite mascara on top, or in a formula that is a bit more dramatic, as it is more of a daytime look. You can layer this one if you want to, but it's thick enough that it can create a clumpy look if you combine with another mascara.

$35 is a lot to pay for a daily mascara but I'd certainly use several tubes a year to help boost the health of my lashes.
