I use Carnation evaporated milk when I make homemade fudge and other baked goods. I also remember 1 of my late Grandmother's would put a little in her coffee every morning. She loved it that way. A very economical product to have on hand.
A great base for all your baking and meal preparation needs. Makes delicious caramel sauces that taste out of this world. It's a crowning jewel in your chef's pantry.
This has been used in tea for at least 4 generations of my family. I remember as a child getting carnation milk as a treat in my tea or hot chocolate at my grandparents house, Now all 4 of my children enjoy it too.
I always keep a few cans of this evaporated milk in the pantry. Handy for when you run out of milk, I use it mostly in recipes. Used to make a jello dish the kids loved. Make two types of Jello, one with about half the amount of water. When that one with less water has almost jelled you start whipping in an equal amount of evaporated milk, it ended up being like a mousse, very tasty and the kids loved it. A|so good for when you need cream and don't have any and a definite must in my Pumpkin Pie recipe.
