I laugh at people who don't know what this is
I laught at people who don't know what this is. Come on. Don't be scared because it comes in a can, lots of good things come in a can. You can use it in tea or coffee, or for baking or other cooking. Very easy to use, trusted and cheap.
Carnation evaporated milk has a special place in my house. Growing up my grandmother made us special ice treats with it so there is a lot of nostalgia tied to it. Maybe its the impending cold but I've been feeling drawn to comfort foods including a nice cup of tea or hot cocoa with a splash (maybe a bit more than a splash) of evaporated milk. Rich, creamy, taste-full of memories.
The best milk for tea! I find just a small amount of this adds a really nice taste and color to tea. I usually always have at least 2 cans of this on hand because tea is a everyday must in a Newfie household. And it must be Carnation.
It is creamy and really nice for cooking or baking but doesn't taste the greatest alone; when in a pinch-Like camping far away from stores-and is on hand can be watered down and used in cereal!
I recently tried Carnation Evaporated Milk ... in my tea! ... instead of using regular milk or cream. I was pleasantly surprised as it tasted pretty good! The carnation milk is very thick do a little goes a long way.
I like this for baking or maybe cooking if it is something that requires a little milk, it has a thick creamy texture. It tastes pretty good in tea but I do not like it in coffee.
Expensive so I stock up when its on sale. Its good to have on hand as there are a lot of uses for it. As a kid I remember it being poured over jello for a dessert. Its good in tea and I've used it to make desserts.
This is the perfect product to use for baking! It's great quality, it tastes great and elevates the flavour in any recipe you use it with.
This stuff is great in baking! Whether it's to make fudge, thicken sauces, or whatever else you can think of. Inexpensive and good quality.
Perfect for a nice cup of tea. Never happen to try it with coffee. But if you try it with tea, you'll probably not like your tea with regular milk again :)
Must give it a try and price is also good.
