I buy this especially for baking and my weight watcher recipes + their always on sale which is a bonus & I stock up :)
I grew up using Carnation Evaporated milk. There was always a can in the fridge or on the table at mealtime. I've used it as milk for my cereal, mixed with water of course. But today I always have some in the pantry. It's good to use anywhere you would normally use milk, pretty much. From cream soups, sauces, deserts, icing, and as a coffee or tea creamer. It's actually really excellent in coffee or tea or in hot chocolate. You can even whip it when it's super cold. I've never tried whipping it but apparently it does work but must be used right away after it's whipped. As for the price. When it's not on sale, I see it for approximately $1.69 in most grocery stores. On sale it's anywhere from $1.00 to 1.25 and I see coupons in booklets sometimes.
I buy this brand all the time. #Carnation "Evaporated Milk" is so creamy and add such a richness in what ever you use it in. I use it in cheese sauce and other sauces, casseroles, baking and it is also so good used as a creamer in a cup of coffee.
i love this for all my baking needs!!!! it makes wonderful fudge !!!! my grampa used this in his coffee for many years.there is always some in my pantry!!!
Great product for baking but can be a but pricey at times so it's best to wait for it to go on sale!
my family always use this when we make a dessert with crushed ice. very tasty. love it.
Expensive so I stock up when its on sale. Its good to have on hand as there are a lot of uses for it. As a kid I remember it being poured over jello for a dessert. Its good in tea and I've used it to make desserts.
