No Scatching The Leather Furnature
I have two indoor cat's Mama Kitty 17 years old and Mickey (Blue Eyes)6 years old both have such unique and different personalities. I had a leather dark blue lazy boy chair in the corner of my living room. Mama Kitty never touched it. But when Mickey (Blue Eyes) become a part of our family. He totally loved to sharpen his claws on that chair. He literally destroyed it. We had bought a brand new leather couch and chair. I tried everything from a water spray bottle, clapping my hand and covering the furniture. One of my good friends suggested I buy a scratching post. I spayed a little cat nip spray on the post and both of my cats just loved it. No more scratching my leather or wood furniture. I myself I did not want to declaw my cats so this was a much better solution. I recommend anyone that has a problem with their cat scratching everything to buy and try a Scratching Post. It saved my new leather furniture.
I didn't like this product it didn't last long in my house, poorly put together it looked cheap & it fell apart the first day. I wouldn't recommend it if your cats love to scratch at stuff
This scratch pole is 3feet tall and has a very thick base made out of solid wood with a nice soft carpet covering. My cat is not able to tip it over and she loves sharpening her claws on the thick robe that is wrapped around entirely. No pulled out carpet pieces all over the place. This a a heavy piece of cat furniture that will last your fur baby a very long time. The price isn't so bad. It cost me $80 but was well worth every penny. The best part is you can store it easily in any room and it won't be a site for sore eyes. It is not an awkward shape so it can easily store i your car or truck. All I know is I have a very happy fur baby.
