I used this pasta with a cream sauce and I honestly think that was a mistake. The taste of the pasta overwhelmed the taste of the sauce so much that it was barely edible. It has a bit of a gritty texture but does stay nice and firm. Maybe it would be better in a stronger flavoured tomato pasta or with pesto, but with the pasta itself having such a strong flavor anything mild does not work.

I'm not really into whole grain pastas so I knew what to expect taste wise. Tastes similar to other whole grain pastas but the kids didn't seem to mind. Overall good product if you're into whole grains.

Thank you to ChickAdvisor for sending me this procduct to try as part of the review club. After enjoying the smart pasta I was excited to try this one but sadly I was disappointed. It seemed to cook nicely and easily. The taste however left something to desire. I found it seemed a little gritty. The texture made it seem worse than it tasted. My husband felt the same. My 2 1/2 year old loved it so that's something I was pleased about. We usually buy white pasta so perhaps this is a normal issue for a whole grain pasta; and would not bother those that eat it more often. I don't think I would buy this pasta again but I was grateful to give it a try.

The pasta did not cook up like regular white pasta, but given the ingredients it is more than acceptable. It works well with a sauce just like any other pasta, and is, no doubt, healthier than regular pasta.

I had the opportunity to try this product free from Chickadvisor's Product Review Club. Although this is a very different and unique product, I found that the texture was different and the grains were evident. (very grainy) I personally did not like the texture of this pasta and found it to be quite different. My family felt the same. It is not something I would purchase.

I liked that the pasta was made from whole grains however if you are used to eating white pasta the texture of the Ancient Grains pasta may take a little getting used to. I would not use this pasta every time I cooked a pasta dish but would certainly use it once in a while to change things up.

The product itself is quality and if you are into whole wheats and grains this would be for you .. however we aren't into it so the taste and feel of the pasta just feels off if you aren't used to it ..

Our family did not really care for the Catelli Ancient Grains Rotini. The texture was just not something we liked. It was way too grainy, from the whole wheat that was used. The taste was okay, but none of us really really a fan of whole grains. We much prefer white pasta. Even though it's high in fibre, it's still not enough to make us buy it again. I know other people who really like whole grains, and have told them about this pasta.

This was not a huge hit in our house. The kids just played with it and didn't eat much even though they love pasta. It has a course texture that neither of my kids liked. I wasn't very thrilled with the taste and texture myself. I won't be buying it again but I know Catelli offers other healthy alternatives that the whole family loves. We'll keep buying Catelli, just not this type of

I received a sample package of Catelli Ancient Grains Rotini free as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club. We usually eat whole grain pasta, but found this one to be a bit more grainy and coarse than other whole grain pasta products. However, my kids still loved it and gobbled it up!
