This gluten free spaghetti taste just as good as a traditional spaghetti, but it’s shape doesn’t hold particularly well. This pasta is best served right away and not kept as leftovers - once reheated the noodles break apart and your left with inch long pieces.
Past Nite!
This pasta was really great! It had an excellent texture, easy to use and make correctly and have a great taste! I am a huge fan of quinoa pasta as a gluten free option so I was very happy to see it on the ingredient list! This blend of rice, corn and quinoa really works well together and I would definitely purchase this item again!
Family loves it!
I have purchased and served this pasta before, but it's worth a review! Though the Catelli Gluten Free Speghetti is as little pricier, it's worth it for me. I don't eat a whole lot of regular pasta anymore since my tummy doesn't agree with it, so I've resorted to alternatives, including gluten free. For last night dinner I made a simple speghetti casserole (it tastes a whole lot better than it looks!) This kind of pasta takes a bit longer to cook than the regular kind so take that into consideration when in the kitchen. Will continue to buy this variety, love it!
We prefer the penne
Thank you #Familyrated we received this #freetotry We love the Catelli Gluten Free Spaghetti pasta! It is not our favourite out of the selections! My husband was diagnosed with celiac disease last year and finding foods that taste authentic are hard to come by. Although the taste is great we prefer the penne or macaroni selections. We found with cooking the spaghetti or linguini noodles the would stick together and/or break into tiny pieces. I do put oil in the water to help the noodles from sticking but it doesn’t help with these.
They are also priced quite high, but so is all gluten free food.
Again the taste is accurate! We do not notice a difference. This brand is a staple in our pantry!
Good product
I like this product, the taste is good and so is the texture. You have to make sure you follow the directions because it will over cook easily and get clumpy. Doesn't reheat well.
This isn't the worst brand for gluten free pasta, its affordable and as long as you pair it with a really good sauce to accompany it, it will taste good.
Catelli Gluten Free Spaghetti
Great spaghetti! My mother cannot have gluten. The rest the family can, and are picky about gluten free products so usually we have to make two batches of pasta (A pain) but not with Catelli, I made noodle soup, and didn't tell the "connoisseur" of gluten free products it was gluten free! (shhh) two bowls later, I told him it was gluten free and he was shocked!.
Pro's
- Great intimation of wheat pasta
- It's not incredibly delicate like some gf pasta
Con's
- If you don't stir often and carefully you can end up with the spaghetti stuck together
- It does't keep well (it sticks together) so serve same day.
- Gluten free is always more expensive, but this is a little more so. It goes on sale
occasionally and I stock up then!
This is a great alternative for those who can't eat gluten. I don't notice a major taste difference and with sauce on top, I don't notice it at all.
It cooks the same as regular spaghetti but after draining it, I do find it breaks easily. It is difficult to 'spin' this pasta on a fork.
It is a great price and available at all my local grocery stores.
I like how this pasta can be compared with normal pasta. It tastes quite similar, the only difference is the texture. This pasta has a bit more grainer texture than normal pastas.
