Cepacol lozenges come in 2 flavours ... cherry or lemon. Either are helpful in taming a sore throat. It contains some medicinal ingredient as well to help with your sore throat. It is most effective when sucked slowly over 20 or more minutes. If you chew it right away I find it doesn't help as much. Bith flavours taste OK ... but you may want to rinse your mouth with water afterwards as the taste tends to linger. The price is a little steep but worth it. There is no drowsy side effect but always follow the directions on the packaging. Each lozenge is individually sealed for freshness. And it is easy to pop each lozenge out of the plastic packaging easily. Each box contains enough to last several days as needed. An expiration date is also always clearly printed on the box. You can find Cepacol at most drug stores and some of the common grocery stores ... including Walmart. All pharmacists are also familiar with the Cepacol name and you do not need a prescription.

I find these to work quite well. They leave a strong tingly and numb sensation, which is much better than pain. They tend to be a little expensive, but they work much better than the off-brand ones I have tried and are worth the extra cash

They are typically more expensive than other cough lozenges, but their anti-bacterial ingredients do more than just treat symptoms. I definitely recommend them!

This is my sore throat lozenge of choice. It works on contact and helps you feel better sooner. The cherry flavor is the one I purchase.

It does work instantly on sore throats. My husband uses it everytime he feels a sore throat coming on. It's alcohol free also and that's a big plus for us.
