It's okay.
This cleanser bar is effective at leaving your skin feeling fresh and clean. It gives you just the right amount of lather but not as much as some other soaps, which makes rinsing the product off very easy. Overall, it hasn't caused any redness but I did get breakouts after the first few times using it, which is weird because this product is meant for sensitive skin. I'm also not a fan of the way this cleanser bar smells. It's not unbearable but it does smell odd for a "soap". Luckily, it doesn't linger too long on my skin.
During the first few uses, it did dry out my skin in certain areas, which, again, is odd because this is supposed to be hydrating. However, after continuous use, it seems like my skin has balanced out and have not experienced that since. Generally, I'd say this product is okay if you're looking for a mild cleanser, but I don't think I'll be purchasing it again. It could do without the parabens, as well.
One of my fave bar cleansers
I love using this when I need to free up space in my liquids bag while traveling. The cleanser lathers nice and leaves my skin feeling soft and clean. I like that this doesn’t leave my skin feeling stripped or too tight.
Super-effective makeup cleanser
This is the only cleanser I use on my face, twice daily. It lathers amazingly and cleans all the makeup off my skin effectively. I always follow up with a moisturizer and have lovely smooth skin.
works for me
this is good for my skin, especially in the winter, so dry and itchy. the bar is easy to use, price is reasonable. good value for your money. one bar last for a good while.
Pretty good
This bar soap is pretty good. It lathers up nicely, and I find it clean pretty well. It is gentle and does not irritate the skin, so great for people with sensitive skin. It is a little bit more on the pricey side so that is why I probably will not purchase it again, but overall good product.
Hydrating bar but...
I normally don't use bar soaps to wash my body but trying new things here and then never hurt anyone. I typically use liquid soap for hygienic reasons. This soap indeed doesn't strip my moisture away after wash. However, I will continue this soap to cleanse my makeup puffs instead in the future since I don't have a place to store soaps without letting bacteria in.
Disclaimer: I received a sample of this cleansing bar for free in exchange of my honest opinion from the Toronto Meet Up hosted by Daint (www.hellodaint.com/)
I received a small sample sized bar from CeraVe. Normally, I absolutely love CeraVe products. Their foaming facial cleanser is my go-to, so I was really excited to try the Hydrating Cleanser Bar. The product was just "meh" to me. I'm not really a fan of the bar format, as it seems to get a residue buildup on the outside, no matter what I do, which just looks gross to me. The bar did cleanse my skin, but I found it a bit on the drying side, which wasn't pleasant. As such, I can't see myself buying it in the future.
I received this as a sample in the mail. I ended up absolutely loving it for my dry flaky skin. I will definitely be using the coupon that came with it to buy the full size!!
It smells really strong but the scent doesn't linger. I use this after I've already removed my makeup and it does a really good job of cleansing but not stripping away moisture. My skin feels soft and clean after using this! A little also goes a long way, I've had the same tiny bar for a month now!
I was lucky to receive a small sample bar of Cerave Hydrating Cleanser Bar. So far, so good. I was a little worried about using this on my face for fear of dryness. it seems to be helping my skins. My face feel nice a soft and clean. No dryness at all. I like it.
