it is gentle on skin ,my skin is very dry skin after applying this i felt soft and hydrating
While on accutane i started getting red rough patches on my arms and legs. This product was recommended to me, and ever since i started moisturizing twice a day with CeraVe, the patches have gone and faded.
I read about this moisturizer online when I was having a reaction to me previous moisturizer. I really like CeraVe, but it could be a tad bit more moisturizing in the winter time. I do find myself using an oil overtop for really dry days. The biggest downside is the cost of it.
First off, CeraVe has a few different types of moisturizer but my favourite, and the one I find the most effective (and you get the most bang for your buck) is the large one in the tub. What's awesome about this cream is that it's supppperrr emollient without being too heavy or breaking you out. It contains hyaluronic acid to replace lost lipids. I use this day and night and I find that's really helped to not just temporarily cure but help solve my blemish issues because my skin is generally not as dry on a regular basis.
I have very sensitive skin, and I switched to this moisturizer after having a reaction to new makeup. Not the best time to try a new moisturizer, I know, but I felt like I was running out of options. Within a week, the dry flaky skin resulting from my reaction was significantly reduced, and I felt like my skin was looking more radiant. I've been using this as my go-to moisturizer since, and have been more than pleased with it. It goes on light, it doesn't irritate my skin, it's convenient and there's a lot of bang for your buck because the tubs are huge! I've even converted my non-moisturizing boyfriend in to a CeraVe user.
I use this lotion for my face and it is great for dry and sensative skin. It forms a moisture barrier and keeps the moisture locked into your skin. This lotion is not oily unlike others. It is developed by dermotologists and is non-comedogenic and non-irritating to the skin.
This can be purchased in a large tub for about $16-$20 at CVS. My dermatologist recommended it for Keratosis on the back of my arms. Use every day after the shower. It is totally not greasy and is really working on getting rid of my red bumps!
