Not So Oil Control
I purchased this SPF moisturizer because I thought it would be ideal for my combination skin. My T-zone can get quite oily especially during the summer and an oil control product sounded ideal. Unfortunately this moisturizer feels very greasy on the skin and doesn't really do anything to control or prevent oiliness. I ended up mixing it with another oil-free moisturizer to mattify the formula which just adds another step to my skincare routine. It also has that chemical sunscreen scent which is a bit of a turnoff. Plus as with most chemical sunscreens, this moisturizer can irritate my eyes from time to time. So I will definitely not be purchasing this product again and my search for a SPF moisturizer continues!
Worked ok but it burns your eyes
This is a decent moisturizer if you need light moisture and don't live in a dry climate but I need far more moisture. Also be aware than if you wear this and do physical activity it runs into your eyes and burns them terribly. I had to stop using it.
So Disappointed
I’m shocked by how disappointed I am with this product.
This was the only new product I used this week so the changes that I experienced with my skin must be attributed to this product.
It absorbs quickly and does not leave an oily film (which I half expected given the SPF). There are instructions to avoid contact with eyes. I unfortunately can attest that even if you apply carefully around the eyes, the product can still somehow get in to your eyes and boy does it burn.
Yes, it helped with oil control but it made my skin very dry and very flaky (very visibly). It also caused me to break out.
It offers good value if it works for you.
cetaphil DermaControl Oil Control Moisturizer SPF 30;
I trust Cetaphil trusted and simple dermatologist brand of moisturizers / cleansers (during exzcema and acne breaks outs cetaphil is the most trust worthy cleanser gentle for broken out skin)
When I tried the moisturizer I was disappointed.
My skin was not hydrated. To me it appeared the moisturizer would not blend and absorb into the skin......
It did oil control, provided a "matte like" finish.
The spf factor of 30 was a good bonus! No additional sunscreen was needed but over all what it itends to do moisturize did not do....
