I had this recommended to me from my dermatologist, since I have very sensitive skin. It doesn't irritate, and it is very soothing, and you don't need a prescription! A basic bottle size (the smallest they sell) will last you a long time! In one pump you get a lot of product that will cover more than your face if you wish, it leaves your face feels smooth, and clean. :)
When I went to the dermatologist in high school complaining of acne, I had been using various harsh face washes assuming that burning = good. The dermatologist sent me home with samples of Cetaphil and it's awesome! It's so gentle, it has no smell, but it works! It really is kind and moisturizing to ones skin. (Not moisturizing in an oily way, but in a fresh way.) I have experimented with many cheap and expensive face washes over the years since then, but I always keep a bottle of cetaphil in my shower. It's a fantastic bargain, and it makes my skin very happy.
Very helpful and was great for removing makeup and clearing up my acne while visiting the acne clinic.
Just started breaking out a bit and was getting worried and saw the Cetaphil cleanser here on Chick Advisor that it had so many great reviews and high rates and went and purchased it last night and I already see my face much better this morning. I LOVE IT!...& I LOVE CHICK ADVISOR TOO! :D I have been using Proactiv for more than 5 years and it has help me with acne but do get every now and then a few pimples nothing like before and not as big and ugly, just small blemishes but Proactiv does take time to clear your face and their 1st step cleanser is smaller and can be more expensive than Cetaphil which is a bigger bottle. I think I'm changing Proactiv's cleanser and sticking with Cetaphil.
I was diagnosed with adult acne 5 yrs ago. I now have a clear complexion but went thru alot of medicines to get here. But cetaphil was recommended by my dr and I gotta say it works great. I can actually open my eyes with this foamed up over them and it doesnt burn. Very good for sensitive skin!
I love this facial clenser! I have been using it daily for about 5 years now. My brothers and my mom and dad also use it. I love it because it is very gentle and non-drying. It helps get rid of blemishes and is non-irritating. I love it!
Okay, so I admit I don't use this everyday alone, but just because i am a little OCD about how I clean my face and my normal regimen. However, I bought this after hearing a lot about it and how its so recommended by dermatologists and such.
It has a nice, clean, fresh scent and it foams (which I like, because I know its working ---even though my other cleansers don't foam and they still work, I still like to see the bubbles!) I use this product a lot of I am too tired to go through my entire routine of facial cleansing or just want to quickly give my face a wash on a hot day or right after the gym. At the end, my test was to use the Clinique Toning Lotion with cotton pads to check for dirt. I usually use three cotton pads before the dirt is all gone...but with this cleanser I only have to really use one because it doesn't leave any dirt behind!
It's a good cleanser, a little pricey I think for drugstore, but the bottles are big and the product is true to its word. It's a nice one-step cleansing routine (I like it since I don't really believe in those cleansing wipes - I feel grimy after using them and very not clean-like.
Wonderful product. I don't know how it would fair on acne, but it does say for oily skin, so it would probably be a nice clean all over product. Love it and the way that it leaves my skin fresh and clean but totally not dry.
