My face was irritated from trying some harsh face products, and I could use my regular cleanser for a month without it itching and burning. That's where Cetaphil came in. It is really gentle and moisturizing. It didn't make my face hurt, and it was a lot better than just using water (which made my skin rough from lack of exfoliation). You don't even need water! You can just apply and gently wipe it away. Great stuff!

I have really sensitive skin and this is the only cleanser I have found that does not give me a rash. It works better than cleansers that cost a lot more. I highly recommend this facial cleanser, especially if you have sensitive skin.

Love, love, love this cleanser. I have been dealing with adult acne for the past year and this is the only cleanser that I use. It is basic and gentle. It kind of smells like baby shampoo. If you have dry skin, you shouldn't use this formula.

I am in love with this product. It does exactly what it says it will. It's not harsh, it cleanses and rinses well, and it just works well in general. I really have to take issue with some of the complaints here. As for the the film it leaves behind, it states on the bottle that it will leave thin film behind to help seal moisture into your skin...it's not an unexpected or unpleasant surprise, if you just read the back label. Also, this cleanser is not intended to remove makeup, it's just meant to cleanse your skin and keep it healthy and good-looking. It doesn't have the "extra stuff" that heavier, more irritating cleansers have, which is the point. You need a makeup remover to effectively remove your makeup, or a heavier cleanser with different properties. I suggest either Pond's Clean Sweep (love it!), or something by Olay, Aveeno, or Dove. I'm not crazy about the price, even though it is a good cleanser, and I wish it came in a pump design to make it more "user-friendly". Despite that, I love it. And lastly, if you have oily skin, this not the product for you. It is intended for people with dry/normal and dry/sensitive skin ONLY. Most of the negative reviews for this cleanser are from people with combination & oily skin. Cetaphil makes a cleanser for you people: Daily Facial Cleanser For Normal to Oily Skin.

Even at 33, my skin is terribly acne prone; this cleanser claims to be non-comedogenic--and truly is, unlike many other cleansers.

It is extremely gentle, slightly more than the regular Cetaphil cleanser, and several dermatologists have recommended it to me.

It does not foam up and create suds, so if that is your preference, this is not for you. But if you want a gentle cleanser that truly cleans your face and leaves it moisturized---but not too much, as I have oily skin---and with no residue or dryness, this one is for you. And there is no annoying scent.

I use it by wetting my face and putting a small amount in my wet hands and gently washing my face and neck. You may use too much in the beginning as it does not react like the cleansers that foam up, but you will adjust in time.

I often use a washcloth or a nylon scrubber when I feel in need of extra exfoliation.

About once a week, depending on my skin, I add some baking soda ssssssss(a bit more than a teaspoon) to the Cetaphil in my palm, mix them together, and get a super exfoliation by by scrubbing softly in circles around my face and neck. I concentrate on the T-zone where I have extra oil and enlarged pores, it helps with both.

That formula is more gentle to my skin than other cleansers with added grit in them, and yet leaves my skin feeling as soft as a baby's, and helps pimples get on their way faster than usual. It also works great on my chapped lips.

Cetaphil can even remove non-waterproof mascara for me, if I have gone light with the amount that day. Don't let the low price fool you--I went through "the pricier the better" phase way too long--this is as good as it gets.

I love this cleanser. My dermatologist only reccomends Cetaphil and Purpose, and for good reason. This cleanser is so easy to use. You don't even need to use water with it if you don't want to. It makes my skin feel so good and my face glows when I use it. It's the most gentle cleanser I've ever used. And my skin never breaks out when I use it. And I hardly need any moisturizer either, or make-up for that matter. I absolutely love this cleanser.

My dermatologist recommended the Cetaphil line for my sensitive and acne prone skin. I had never even heard of it before but it is worth every penny. The Daily Facial Cleanser is different from the Gentle Skin Cleanser (which is a different consistency and can be used without water). This is a foaming face wash without any fragrance, dyes or fillers. It washes away impurities (makeup, dirt, oil) and leaves your skin feeling soft and supple. It helps with my pores and gives me an unmatched glow. I find that if I don't use it regularly I'm more prone to breaking out and my skin appears dull. I tried every cleanser under the sun - Neutrogena, Clearasil, Clean and Clear. Non of them worked anywhere near as well (even though they put so much more into advertising) - Cetaphil has really spread via doctor recommendations and word of mouth. Even if you find you don't like the Daily Facial Cleanser, try one of their other products - the Gentle Skin Cleanser, the bar, the moisturizing cream, the lotion - you should be able to find a Cetaphil product that you will not want to go without.

The most gentle cleanser available - anytime my skin freaks out I always return to this staple. I like that it can also be used without water (great for camping!). It's the only thing that hasn't caused my skin to completely break or dry out.
