Meh

I had very high hopes for this flavor, I couldn't wait to bring it home using my free coupon from @Butterly and @Chapmans. I was left very underwhelmed with the taste. It's nothing to write glowing reviews about. I feel so sad posting this. I would be looking at all other new flavors that Chapman's has introduced, however I will not be repurchasing Maple Crunch.

Bonne crème glacée

Nous avons eu la chance de tester la nouvelle crème glacée de Chapman's. Malgré le fait qu'elle soit difficile à trouver (j'ai dû faire plusieurs épiceries avant la trouvée chez Walmart) la présentation est originale, par contre personnellement je l'a trouve un peu trop sucré. Mais si vous aimez les produits sucrés au bon goût d'érable, je vous la recommande vivement.

Maple Crunch

The maple flavor was good, not overpowering. I liked the maple leaf design in the ice cream.
However, not much crunch.
An ok flavour, but it doesn’t stand out.

Okay...

This ice cream wasn't bad but it wasn't amazing... It wasn't too sweet but I find it did not have much of a maple flavour and I woukd have liked the maple crunch pieces to be larger as they did not give Mich crunch.

Low Maple not so crunchy

The ice cream was very soft (almost like a soft cream) and seemed to have too much air in it. There was also very little maple flavor (it tasted more like vanilla ice cream than maple) and almost no crunch (there where 2 little sugar crunches in 5 scoops of ice cream).
Overall, we where disappointed in this ice cream.
We originally would have reviewed a different flavor, but after searching online on multiple stores to try to find one that carried the product, and going to 3 different stores that where supposed to carry them, we only managed to get this one amongst all the new flavors, therefore changing our review item.

Mixed Emotions

Of the four people who tried it only one of us found it to have any maple flavour. The vanilla ice cream was to be honest a little flat. There was not oomph to it. Very little maple flavour and no crunch. Kind of disappointing

Chapmans Maple Crunch

I did enjpy Chapmans Maple Crunch ice cream. It's rich and creamy and a great value, even tasted like there's maple syrup poured in it. Only complaint is that it's extremely sweet.

Maple Crunch Ice Cream needs more maple, please

Pros: l like the sliceable, 2 litre, block style ice cream, and the way the maple leave design is embedded. And that it’s peanut/nut free, gluten free and made with natural flavours/colours, so l wouldn’t worry about serving it to people with those allergies or concerns.

Cons: The ice cream wasn’t as creamy as expected. The bits weren’t crunchy. And the maple flavour is so mild that it’s barely detectable. Too much maple would be sickly, but this could really use more. So, kick up the maple, Chapman’s, please. Just be sure to still use real maple, not artificial flavour.

Conclusion: This would be a nice accompaniment to something like apple pie or spice cake. On its own it’s a bit dull. But has lots of potential. If Chapman improved the creaminess and boosted the level of maple, I’d love it.

Maple, but where's the crunch?

The flavour that was assigned to me was Maple Crunch Ice Cream. There was great maple flavour, but where is the crunch? There was no crunch at all! If I see crunch in the name, I expect to have some texture in my ice cream. Overall, it was a nice, smooth, creamy ice cream. My kids liked that there was a maple leaf in the middle of the box of ice cream. If you're looking for a good maple ice cream, this is it... just don't expect any crunch!

Vanilla flavour with maple

This flavor was not so easy to find in the supermarkets, I only found it on my third visit to different supermarkets. It's a nice vanilla ice cream with maple on the center but the vanilla taste is not so strong and then for me, this one goes better as a side for another dessert, for example, brownie or petit gateau. I would not buy it again as the main dessert. Also, the packaging and the way of serving (with slices) are not very convenient if you are not eating the whole package at once. On the other hand, this makes a good impression on a party with a group of people because the design with the maple leaf in the center is nice.
