Chapman's is my go to brand when we have a hankering for ice cream for dessert in our house. There are many reasons I prefer Chapman's over other brands but my initial decision to purchase Chapman's was because it was the only ice cream option that was peanut free, this is huge when you have a child in the house with a severe peanut allergy, I know with this brand he is safe and won't feel left out.In addition to that it is it a Canadian product and it is actual ice cream and not a "flavored iced dessert", whatever that means.

This is actually ice cream and not iced flavoured dessert! Great value for money! I love the fact that there are many flavours and with a child in the house with a peanut allergy he never feels like he is missing out on dessert! We all love it!

I did not like this ice cream. It tasted kind of chemically to me. There wasn't a real creaminess to it. The only good thing about this ice cream is that it is cheap.

Chapman's makes the best ice cream and the checkerboard one is so cool to look at and taste so good,very rich and creamy, very reasonable in price ,I am never disappointed

I know I can trust Chapman's to provide a quality product for a reasonable price. My kids love the checkerboard presentation, I must admit I do, too. It tastes wonderful, but I want to know, how do they do it?

The checkerboard pattern of the ice cream is so unique and kids absolutely love it. There are two flavours in one, which makes it really special - no need to choose what flavour you want more because that decision is just too hard to make, I always want both! The ice cream is so creamy and melts in your mouth perfectly.

Love this ice cream and more since it comes in a cardboard box, i use it to make my homemade ice cream sandwichs, my husband loves it when i make them, get a lot more then when you buy them all made up, and the taste is way much better when it comes from the heart... :-)

This ice cream was probably my second favorite ice cream flavor. Regardless of the fact I hate chocolate ice cream I still loved this stuff. My OCD part of my personality would often eat each square in a slice of the box one by one, or if I couldn't be bothered to care, just mush it all together until it was a solid color and the texture of soft serve and eat it like that. Kind of sad I never see this stuff anymore, but so glad I had it when it was available.

Chapman's Original Chocolate & Vanilla Checkerboard Ice Cream;

I admit I purchased the ice cream for the checkerboard design of the ice cream, it caught my attention and guests to my home love it too and compliment haha, creative idea.

The vanilla and chocolate taste is great, both are good and abalanced. No complaints.
Chocolate is sweet but not too much, and vanilla is simply vanilla.

Good for cutting into slices and top with some syrups or add fruits.

Good taste and good design, I like chapmants!!

I really enjoy the taste and the look. I eat it square by square. The texture is unbelievable and the taste is delightful
