Great new flavour

We tried the Chapman’s Cotton Candy flavour ice cream. It was excellent. Tastes exactly like cotton candy. Not too sweet. Creamy texture. Doesn’t melt too fast.

Sweet but not over powering

I really enjoyed this ice cream as it was sweet but not too sweet, it almost had light notes of strawberry and cotton candy. My toddler loved it, we were impressed

Delicious!

I absolutely loved this ice cream. It had a soft texture. It tasted just like cotton candy but wasn't too sweet. I'd definitely recommend it for kids.

Brings out the Kid inside

As a family we really enjoyed this flavor, the kids especially. The flavor of the cotton candy was bang on and definitely reminded me of summer ice cream cones as a kid myself. I would buy this flavor again.

Childhood favourite revamped

Just thinking about cotton candy is enough to make me smile. It brings about so many happy memories. Trips to the Fair, visits to the zoo and days spent at the amusement park riding roller-coasters all day.
~Chapman's gave me the opportunity to try out some of their new products. When I saw that Cotton Candy was an option (given that it was free) I had to try it. First- the checkerboard. So cute! Like many of their flavours when you slice their ice cream rather than scoop it, you get these cute little mini slabs of checkboard. (perfect for placing ontop of an un-iced slice of cake)
2nd, the flavour is just Incredible. It's cotton candy, but almost a 'grown-up' luxury version combined with a creamy vanilla like flavour. I really expected this to be overly sweet but it isn't. I hope it's something they keep around for a long time.

My daughter loved this ice cream! It was a little sweet for my taste but if you love cotton candy and ice cream this flavour is for you! I love that the chapmans ice cream comes in a box. So convenient for serving!

I was a little concerned that it would be to sweet but to my surprise it wasn't. Oh of course because of checker board my girls thought it was so cool.

If you like sweet, look no further!

If you aren’t a fan of very sweet ice cream, I would stop reading this as this may not be a product for you, but if sweet is your thing, you’re picking the right flavor. I myself am a fan of sweet and I really enjoyed it; sometimes I only needed a bite or two to satisfy my palette. If you plan to open the box and take slices out of it, then the packaging won’t feel like an issue, but because it’s a box, once you start opening the carton more and more, it can start to become a little sticky or the box doesn’t want to close back up as nicely so the packaging isn’t my favorite style. Nutrition wise, it’s not terrible. I have found most ice creams seems to be a 125ml serving, but this one is 188ml, so taking that into account, it’s 170 cal, 7 grams of fat and 14 grams of sugar. I personally still only took the standard 125ml, so the nutrition was lower and I still felt satisfied. Flavor wise, I also wouldn’t necessarily guess this was cotton candy, I got more of a bubblegum taste. My husband said he narrowed it down to “sweet” and not necessarily a discernible flavor at all. As I said however, I am a fan of sweet and I still really enjoyed it but if you’re looking for an exact replica of a cotton candy taste, which I think can be difficult since it’s basically a ball of sugar, this might not be the exact flavor for you. I would definitely recommend this product, I would most likely buy it again and I am certainly going to eat the rest of what I have.

Fun checkerboard

I had a hard time locating this product as not all stores were carrying this flavour. I enjoyed the taste of it, it’s not too sweet and just the right amount of cotton Candy taste. The checkerboard pattern is fun but You have to completely open all sides of the box and slice the ice cream in order to have it checkered design. Honestly that’s a bit of a pain, I am perfectly fine to scoop and eat as you normally would. All in all I enjoyed it and liked the flavour.

Mixed Reviews

Well having two tweens in the house, I received mixed reviews.
The vanilla loving child thought it was gerat and wants me to buy again!
The other one, said it was kinda bland and the vanilla flavour over powered. It was not a strong cotton candy taste and would not want to have again.
Either way, its still a great Canadian product, Champans continues to innovate and have new products as well as family favourites.
