Not a bad ice cream

I thought the ice cream had great flavour, and it definitely had a texture that was a bit more creamy than original Chapman’s, but I felt like it left a bit of an oily film in my mouth. Might just be the vanilla, I would definitely try the other flavours though!

Creamy but too much vanilla for us

The new Chapman’s ice cream super premium plus vanilla trilogy is super creamy and easy to scoop. The flavour had a very bold vanilla taste but it was the after taste that 2/3 of us had a problem with. It tasted like vanilla extract and the taste would not go away. So if you love vanilla I would say at least try it because the creaminess of this ice cream is amazing just for us the trilogy of vanilla was too much.

Not the best

The Ice cream was so thick it like didn't melt. My kids didn't even want to eat it, and they normally inhale ice cream. Vanilla bean flavor just wasn't good. Maybe the other ones would be better. We didn't even finish the tiny tub

SORRY CHAPMAN'S

I really wanted to like this product but wasn't impressed. It had a very smooth texture but it was too sweet and, quite frankly, I didn't find it much better than run of the mill brands.
So I appreciate the free product but I won't be buying it.

Delicious but not worth the price

A bit of a pain to find since it’s not available at every grocery store in this specific size (500ml). Advertised as “convenient” sizing but to me just overpriced - you’re paying extra for packaging instead of the product. Flavour wise the ice cream is delicious and you can tell it’s good quality, but I can’t justify the price tag and therefore can’t recommend it.

The Thrilla in Vanilla

I picked the new Chapman's Super Premium Plus Vanilla Trilogy Ice Cream flavour to test and review. Butterly sent me a voucher for a FREE Chapman’s Super Premium Plus Ice Cream in exchange for my honest review. I redeemed the voucher at my local Sobey’s grocery store for a 500ml carton of the Vanilla Trilogy flavour.

We regularly purchase Chapman's products for our son, and vanilla is his favourite ice cream flavour. The Vanilla Trilogy flavour is made with “the world’s finest vanilla beans from three unique regions” (Madagascar, Tahiti, and Papua New Guinea). It tasted like regular vanilla. I was surprised to not see black flecks of vanilla bean in the ice cream. The texture of this ice cream is very smooth and creamy. It’s made with fresh, real cream, all 100% Canadian dairy. It’s Peanut free, nut free, and egg free.

I think the smaller size of the Chapman’s Super Premium Plus Ice Creams is convenient when sampling new flavours. Unfortunately the price is higher than we are used to seeing Chapman’s products. So, not as much bang for your buck, but the quality of this Chapman’s ice cream is superior to their other ice creams. My family and I look forward to trying all the new Chapman’s Super Premium Plus Ice Cream flavours! Chapman's new Super Premium Plus is overall a more grown up tasting ice cream. It should appeal to all ages!

Pricey!

We tried Chapmans Vanilla Trilogy Superior Premium Plus ice cream and were not overly impressed. I do love Chapmans quality and love many of their products, however, this small tub of “premium” ice cream tasted like many standard vanillas. There was nothing exceptional and for the price we were hoping for a superior tasting. It was smooth and creamy, great texture. Very bland vanilla taste though. Wouldn’t purchase again for the price. But I am curious about their other flavours in this premium line.

This one fell a bit short for me

I tried the Vanilla Trilogy Flavor which features three vanilla bean flavours from Madagascar, Tahiti, and Papua New Guinea.

With all that vanilla, I was expecting the vanilla flavor to be right in your face, however, I found the vanilla flavor to actually be very mild. The icecream texture was very smooth and I didn't see a lot of vanilla bean specks that I was expecting to see.

Personally, although I do enjoy the occasional vanilla icecream, I would have liked more of a sweeter vanilla flavor and a bit more texture from the vanilla beans. I will have to try the other flavors because this one fell a bit short in what I was expecting.
