Lactose free

I loved this product, could not imagine this being lactose free, makes me remind of the icecream i used to eat in my home country, i can eat this everyday.

Thanks to Chapmans for letting me try out the new no sugar added lactose free chocolate almond ice cream bars in exchange for an honest review.

The chocolate on the outside is delicious! I don’t think I’ve had a lactose free ice cream ever and honestly couldn’t tell the difference.

I did find the bars to be pretty small in comparison to others especially for the price of $6.99 for only 5.

Healthy yummy in my tummy..

Such a yummy new treat for all the lactose sensitive people to satisfy their sweet cravings and what serves as a cherry on top is the that it’s no sugar added..Melts like butter in the mouth and the chocolate coating with almonds on top gives it a nutty flavour as well ..Go Try it,Feel the goodness yourself..

Great tasting!

I was hesitant to try these but I was pleasantly surprised at how good they tasted. They're not sweet but it's a nice break from overly sweet ice cream and the ice cream tastes just like regular ice cream.

Traded lactose for maltitol

As someone who has issues with lactose and prefers to avoid sugar, this product seemed to be the perfect fit. Initially it was anyways. The portion size was good, and it tasted good. The usual Chapman creamy taste wasn't there, but I was expecting that since this lactose free. I ended up eating two because I figured, "yes, guilt free! Lactose free!" Well that was a bad idea.

They took away lactose, something that makes people poop their brains out, and added maltitol, which is a sugar alcohol that makes people poop their brains out. Really? Chapman's couldn't go with another sugar like Erythritol? To me, all these are now are constipation relief bars, not actual sweet treats.

Chapman's could have done better with their ingredient choices as removing lactose but adding maltitol is completely counter productive, and left me with a horrible stomach ache, cramps, and a lot less toilet paper than I started my day with.

My expectations were high…

and they were exceeded! These ice cream bars are delicious. The vanilla ice cream is smooth and tasty and the chocolatey coating with almonds is heavenly. I honestly would not have guessed this treat was lactose and sugar free. The only thing I would change about these delightful bars? Make them bigger!

Sugar free and lactose free!

These bars were delicious! The chocolate and nuts were a good thickness Great to be able to have a lactose free treat. Only complaint is they are on the small side

A yummy treat

This was the perfect little snack to give in to the ice cream craving. The chocolate coating with the almond pieces was perfect. I can never get enough of Chapman's Ice cream. As always, I was very much impressed with the flavour combination.

#TryChampmansCanada. #GotItFree my first impression was they were very tiny. Chocolate almond coating was delicious. Ice cream inside tasted almost gritty which is unusual for Chapmans not sure if grocery store may have thaw and refrozen product and ended up that way. I would buy these again but only if on sale as $6.49 a box was steep

Starts delicious - ends with a lingering taste.

Initially after testing Chapman's No Sugar Added ice cream bar, I was enjoying the flavour and excited they could be so tasty without the use of traditional sugar. However, after a few bites it was clear that the use of maltitol and sucralose came with their own vices - a lingering taste on the tongue that would not go away. I would still recommend for people that would like a treat and cannot consume regular sugar, but I'm not sure I would buy these again personally unless I was following dietary restrictions. It's too bad because they are that good to start with!
