100% OF CHICKS DIG IT
I know I should be supporting my local, independent bookstores, but it's hard to when Chapters has so much more selection, offers discounts on bestsellers and a lot of other books, and has a fabulous website where you can find everything. All the home goods they sell are really good quality and fun as well, it's a great addition to the books!
The best book store. And the set up is the best. Perfect place to go find the best books and then sit down and have a coffee after with your favourite page turner
I could spend HOURS in my local Chapters. Books as far as the eye can see, which is heaven for a bibliophile like myself. The staff is knowledgeable, super friendly, and what they don't know, they are happy to find out for you.
WE also have a Starbucks in our Chapters, so it seriously is heaven. I love the non-book items they sell too. Home decorations (which can be pricey...but look in the clearance section), book lamps, journals, CD's...the list goes on.
I would move in if they would let me.
I love Indigo, both in store and online. They have a great selection of books along with non-book items like small tech, kids and baby toys/gifts and home decor items. The atmosphere is great and the prices are comparable to, or slightly higher, than amazon.ca.
My favorite part of the store is the home and baby/kids section. They carry a selection of high quality items that are perfect for personal use or gift-giving. The website in particular has an excellent selection of higher quality brands that can be hard to find elsewhere. Solid return policy.
Chapters is a home away from home. It's amazing and has a great variety of books for people of all ages. I find some of thierthings a bit pricey but always good quality so it's worth it.
Chapters Indigo is heaven on earth for a true book lover like myself. There is nothing better than the feel and smell of a good book in your hands. I enjoy shopping there in-store and online. Sometimes older books that I'm searching for are only available online and that's fine since they ship so fast, plus it's free for a bookaholic like myself since I spend so much. The store's atmosphere is always relaxing. It's easy to lose track of time while in their stores. Some things are a bit pricey but there are usually plenty in clearance areas for us thrifty shoppers.
The main chain bookstore in Canada, I really like their selection and almost always spending 30mins+ in their YA section. They have awesome stationary as well
I love Chapters/Indigo and am always browsing through their products and books. However I do not like how the sales online are constant and are not carried in store. I personally love holding a book and flipping through the pages while I look around but with online becoming so popular and the prices being so much better I find that I browse in store and then buy online to save the money.
Chapters used to have a lot more books instore - most of them we end up just ordering online. I assume this is due to e-readers.
I still love a good paper book!
They have expanded, however, to include more unique household items, gifts, and fitness gear - they decided to go with the times vs closing shop or reducing store sizes.
I love shopping at Chapters/Indigo. I think I could spend all day in there and not feel like I had seen everything. The stores are even better now that they have an extensive home and gift collection. There are so many unique items to browse through. Having a Starbucks on the premises is the icing on the cake. :)
