Every time I was pregnant I swore I was going to buy one of these, and finally I bought one for my third baby. Boy do I wish I'd bought one of these earlier. They are great for teething. My daughter loves to hold it and chew the beads. She'll also chew it while I'm wearing it and play with it while nursing. It is great for when I'm going out as I don't have to worry about forgetting a teether or toy for her. By wearing it I can prevent having other people pick up teethers she throws on the ground and hand them back to her. Yes, the saliva-covered necklace hanging around my neck may not be the height of sanitation either, but much better than something repetitively tossed on the floor.
Some of the colours are particularly nice and can actually stand on their own as a necklace if you like chunky jewelery.

My daughter has started to teeth early. This is great because it helps her with her grasping and holding. Also she is not a fan of the hard cold tethers. This is just right for her.
