This is a great flat iron. I have baby fine hair and use it around the 350 degree setting. It heats up fast and takes seconds to smooth over my frizzy ends or ad some beachy waves to my hair. It came with a heat resistant mat that you can set it on so you don't burn your vanity top. I had a generic version of a Chi before this one and it did not compare at all in quality.

I've used many different Hair Straighteners and this one has been my favourite.
My hair is very long and is frizzy and wavy, this flat iron striaghtens my hair quickly and gets rid of all frizz. I only need to go over my hair once or twice to get my desired look, other straighteners I would need to go over it three or four times. It saves me time and also saves my hair by not applying heat as often. My hair is frizz-free and straight, and the straightener also leaves my hair looking shinier, healthy and full of volume.
You do not need to press the clamps hard onto your hair either, it wraps around nicely and also doesn't pull or snag any hair while you're pulling. My hair stays straight all day, even in heat and humidity.
It also isn't overly expensive for a "salon brand" straightener, you can get cheaper but the quality isn't there and you can also get more expensive but I can't imagine it being much better than this product. I will definitely re-purchase this Straightener when it's time to replace my current one and I also recommend this to anybody with any hair type and concern.

With my current hair situation (which is very long, wavy and sometimes very curly), it can take time to get my hair straight. With my current 6 year old CHI, it takes about 5 – 7 minutes but with the CHI AIR, it took me less than 3 minutes. In this video I fast tracked the process so you didn’t have to watch the whole three minutes of meet straightening my hair and talking at the same time but it shows you the before and after in just three minutes. Take note that my hair is normally very wavy before I brush it. The image in this video is what my hair looked like after I brushed it for a few minutes. Notice that for some reason the whole process of my actually straightening my hair is not showing. I’ve been working to figure what the problem is but if you forward through that process to the end, you can see what it ended up looking like.
