On the fence
Color wise I think the color is pretty, I think it showed up better on the darker black parts of my hair than the blond parts. I did realize that it kind of looked more blue than purple but it was still pretty and glittery. It’s awesome to have such a nice color show up on black hair without bleach AND it doesn’t transfer once it’s dry which is better than any products I’ve used so far! The only flaw I found was the applicator, it was very hard to use, I couldn’t put it on in a nice way it ended up being very splotchy. Also when you put too much product it makes your hair super wet and when it dries it feels kinda sticky/dirty but if you put a little it doesn’t show, I guess you could put a little then dry then put another layer but it would be very time consuming. I would buy again, maybe a different color though, I guess it just takes practice.
Vibrant
A bit chalky when it dries, but great colour! I dab it onto my daughter’s braids for a bit of colour. It dries lighter than it applies, but we expected that. Washes out easily.
not good for black hair
I have a very black hair, and I bought the grey/silver color one to try it out. but didn't work at all.
if you have a super dark hair, I would not suggest it.
A bit messy
I didn't hate it but I don't love it either. It has a sponge applicator that's a bit messy and it can be hard to get it to go exactly like you want it to. It has to be set with a blow dryer. It does wash out easily. It comes in a lot of different shades, I had the rose gold.
WORST HAIR COLOUR PRODUCT EVER
I used this product correctly - I have bleached hair, did not wash it, etc. I thought this was a powder but it's actually a smelly liquid that does not show!! I COVERED my ends with this and the red barely showed up on my blonde ombre hair. It's super wet and got all over my arms and the pigment did not improve when it dried. Plus the applicator started to leak EVERYWHERE and got all over the sink, counter, floor, etc. like blood. Then my hair just looked orange instead of red. Hate this so much, DO NOT BUY!!!
Adds a vibrant pop of colour without going overboard
Clairol Color Crave in Flamingo adds a vibrant fuschia colour that looks especially great on medium-golden blonde tresses. I use it on the bottom/under layers of my hair so it just peeks through, add a couple chunky streaks around my face and I’ve got a whole new look without the cost or commitment of salon appointments & permanent dyes.
It adds an eye catching pop of colour without going overboard & the contrast of the blonde & fuschia looks awesome- it’s edgy & fresh, but still looks classy enough for work. I get tons of compliments from people of all ages and walks of life.
I find Clairol Color Crave gives you the best bang for your buck as well. With higher colour saturation that stays vibrant for longer. I get about 3-4 applications/tube & the colour stays vibrant for at least a month without noticeable fading. With other (pricier) brands I’ve tried I get 2 applications from the same size tube & the colours is noticeably faded after only a week. One $15 tube of Color Crave can last me up to 5/6 months! It’s easy to use (no mess or mixing), comes with good thick gloves & a good quality brush for application- just squirt (or brush) directly on the locks you want to colour, kick back for 1/2hr and rinse *Voila* beautiful vibrant new you!
The only thing is that I haven’t actually let it fade out completely yet, so I’m not sure how long it takes to get rid of the colour altogether, especially on lighter/more porous hair. But I’m sure any colour stripping
shampoo could help that along.
This has become my new favourite hair colouring product & I highly recommend giving it a try if you’re looking to change things up for awhile 👍👍
Not what I thought
I tried this product for my daughter because she asks for colors in her hair and I don't want anything permanent because she's only 10. She has light hair and you could hardly see the color. I even tried again with the hair dryer to lock in the color, but I wasn't impressed. It was messy to use as well. We will keep on searching.
Pretty nice
This is an easy way to temporary colour your hair with fun shades. Easy to apply- blow dry to seal in shade! Found it to be gentle on my hair. Hair felt soft & Washes out in 1 shampoo.Hair makeup washes away with shampoo.
Comes in 6 shades
With no ammonia, no peroxide, no parabens, and no commitment
Have to be careful as colour goes on hands wish they had gloves in the box.
Super Vibrant!
I received Color Crave in the shade Scarlet and I have to admit I'm impressed! The box includes a 2 pairs of gloves and a tint brush to make application easy and mess free. My hair was light brown (natural colour) with bleached ends and the dye took to my hair well. Since I have short hair I opted to colour all of my hair (if you have long hair you'll need like 3 boxes) and the colour turned out even, bright and bold. The dye lasted just over 2 weeks on my natural brown hair and faded evenly. Where my hair was blonde, it's still red but quite faded. I'm so happy with this dye and intend to try it in a different shade.
One of the best red colours I've tried!
An easy-to-use tube, that doesn't require pre-mixing. Comes with 2 pairs of gloves and an application brush, which is fabulous. The product is nice and thick, and goes on easily. Not too messy. I dyed my naturally brown hair with this scarlet shade, and it shows up really well in my hair, and I didn't bleach it before dying it red. Will definitely use this product again.
