for a product that washes away in 28 shampoos its pretty good. got it on sale which was even sweeter. leaves my hair shiny and soft.

I have a few greys- under 5%. I'd like them 'blended away' and not have to use permanent dye which then colours all my non-grey hair too. I bought Natural Instincts and tried it... leaving it on for full amount of time suggested. After rinsing, I immediately saw that it didn't cover my greys. I get it that greys are supposed to be stubborn - but this product is for greys. A few months later I tried it again - just in case I had a bad or old box. I had the same disappointing results.

I miss semi-permanents with a little ammonia - it made the colour adhere to the hair.

I would only use this product in the future to tone permanent highlights or lightening. It was a waste of my money.

I recently took advantage of a sale at Target that showcased Clairol Natural Instincts. Nicely priced at just under $10, I picked up a box.

Buying an Ammonia Free product is by far the best possible reason to use this product for all your hair care, re-coloring needs.

Applying the color without that pungent bleach odor was the best part of using this product! I didn't have to worry about potential product getting into my eyes.

Also, I found that the excess hair color residue I usually have to wipe off near the hairline, is much easier to remove with this ammonia free option.

I have shoulder length hair and I was able to use the entire bottle for full coverage and only had a tiny bit of product left at the end.

Waiting 10 minutes for my hair to be processed was an additional perk.

The color was radiant, vibrant and didn't bleed out too much when I removed it nor did it leave a dreadful stain in the tub as I washed it out.

The coverage is complete; I feel confident I will make this an item on my "to buy" list for many months to come!

Kudo to Clairol for offering such a great and innovative product!!

It makes my hair look healthy and shiny as well as gives better color than my mousy brown and also a bit more wave since it is more moisturized and I also use Nexxus shampoo which I will tell about in the next review. I think it is well worth the price and even more so if you get it at places like Walmart where it is a little lower or on sale. I cut out the coupons from the clippers and usually always have one available to save further.

Smell was low! Good colour coverage and lasted a long time.

I have darker colored hair and I tried this hair dye, it doesn't really work that well for me. Maybe because I have dark hair. The conditioner is great though because it really softens your hair but otherwise, i wouldn't really use it again.

Love the colors. so easy best box hair dye. does littlle damage to my hair (or so my hair dresser tells me), very natural color. I have used many shade i have never had a problem the color comes out shinning and radiant i love this product. Saves a ton of money hetting my hair done.

I started having my hair semi permanently dyed by a professional 3 years ago. I have very thick hair and I was finding that the red dye they used would wash out after 3-4 weeks and it was costing me $60 to have it dyed, and I just can't afford that.
One box of #16 and my hair (which is naturally a light brown) becomes a sexy bright red for up to 3 months, washing every other day with warm water & colour treat shampoo.
I've also used #20R and #22 before, both of which made my hair almost purple (which was cool while it lasted)
This product is almost always on sale at Shoppers Drug Mart, so stock up when they have it for $6.99 ladies!

My hair prior to using Natural Instincts was:
Virgin (no colour in 5 years), passed my shoulders, brown/black, coarse and frizzy.

Objection: To obtain richness, shine and add depth to my natural hair colour. Plus - no permanent colour!

Results: WOW... I went one shade darker (used Midnight Black) and it not only intensified the colour, it made my hair soft - no frizzies, no dryness. Right away, I noticed a dramatic difference in shine (imagine using a hard core gloss... that stays). I received soooo many compliments... and for the next 20-24 washes I expect the same!

Remember, this product does not lift colour... so if you're looking to go lighter or have a dramatic shade, this isn't for you. But, if you're like me... this will work AMAZINGLY!!!
