I purchased this product and was very disappointed. Followed the directions to the T and it did not foam like on the box, left it on the time directed and still did not cover the grey, and it burned my hair in the front along the part right down to the scalp and the hair broke off. Went to my hair dresser and she was appalled to see the condition of my hair after dying it with Clairol Nice and easy foam. She had suggested I call the 1-800 number to complain. It will be some time before I can colour my hair because of the burning, I have to wait so not to add further damage. I have been using hair colour for many years and have not had a problem like this. Will never use it again.
I bought that product cause i already had bought one "mousse' hair color and loved it, i think it was l'oréal..... but it wasn't the same thing AT ALL! The bottle and "foamer" don't work at all, it was kinda half mousse and half liquid... plus it smelled so bad, kind of like vinegar and peroxid! Ewwww!
I really hated this product, but don't give up on mousse coloration, it's by far the easiest way to dye your own hair... just don't buy this brand! ;)
I have a fair amount of grey hair and within a few days of using this product you could see them!! The application process was not bad but the results were useless!
Didn't like this at all. It was terribly messy and difficult to use, the colour didn't cover my grey at all, and it was flat and lacklustre. What colour did take faded very quickly except where I splashed it all over my bathroom. If you are going to create a foaming hair colour, it needs to foam out of the bottle more easily and be a better product. Gimmick might get me once, but not twice.
The smell was absolutely awful, too. I smelled it on my head two days and two shampoos later.
i tried this product but it did not work. all the colour had rinsed out from my hair. so i thought i maybe another hair colour would work.but it was the same thing.it was a total waste of my money
I first tried Clairol Nice 'N Easy Color Blend Foam after receiving a free product coupon for it. I was very excited to try it but quickly lost my enthusiasm for the product after I started to use it. The concept of a foam and pump applicator appealed to me. It advertises to be easy and mess free. The product was runny, and didn't seem to foam up properly, even though I followed the instructions thoroughly, including the step that requires you to squeeze the bottle upright without tipping it. It still came out runny. The product had a horrible odour. The product permanently stained any surface that it came into contact with. The only thing it didn't properly stain were my gray hairs. The colour was darker than the medium brown that it implied, yet it still failed to properly cover the gray hairs. It did however stain my skin for two days, even though I wiped it off immediately. It stained my sink as well. I would not recommend this product to anyone, nor would I ever buy it. I wouldn't even use it if I received another free product coupon.
This product was absolutly horrid ,it smelled like rancid soysauce
it only covered part of my hair and left streaks all over
the colour wasn't anything near what I wanted.
I would never ever recommend this and in fact would, and have warned people against buying it.
I don't often feel so compelled to write a review to the point that I absolutely MUST write it, but this product inspired me. This was THE worst hair coloring experience I have ever had in my life, and I have been coloring my hair since I was 14. I am not referring to the results (which I'll talk about in a minute), but the actual process.
I was excited to try this new product from Clairol. I thought the foam would be less messy, easy to use -- kind of like putting mousse in your hair. I was wrong. I was so wrong! First of all, don't expect a pump with this product (like I did). You mix it up like you would regular cream or gel hair color, then shake it a few times to make the foam, and then you squeeze the middle of the bottle to put the foam into your hands -- and it's hard to squeeze. I have fibromyalgia, and I could barely get through the whole coloring process, because I just didn't have the strength in my hands by the end of it.
I found I had to keep shaking the container to keep the product at a foamy consistency. The problem is, if you accidentally squeeze a little while you're shaking, the color splatters all over. It splatters anyhow just by the simple process of squeezing it into your hands. I was covered in hair dye, my bathroom door is now in need of a good paint job, it was on the floor, the toilet, the counter -- I am not exaggerating. It was that bad. It refused to come off of the door or my skin. It's the next day now, and I still have black splotches all over me. I actually cried I was so frustrated.
The product didn't even maintain a foamy consistency. Half of what came out in my hands was liquid. The first half of the squeeze was foam, but the second half looked like runny hair color. Once it's on your head, the whole concept of it being foam vanishes. The coverage was terrible, as well. It was stressful trying to make sure that all of my hair was covered.
Now, on to the results. I purchased a medium ash brown, and I am generally pretty happy with Nice 'N Easy's medium ash brown. After 25 minutes on my hair and a good rinse, my hair is almost black. I don't particularly mind this, but it wasn't what I was going for at all. The color looks nice enough, and it covered the few gray hairs that I have at the temples, but the color results were very far off.
The conditioner that came with product left my hair soft and shiny. That's something.
Oh, I forgot to mention -- it stung like crazy while it was on!
