Clarins Double Serum

I was sent a seven day sample for free to try in exchange for my honest opinion. I have used it daily for the past week after I washed my face but before I applied my moisturizer. It was a simple process- fold the package to open, press for the product to come out and then mix in your palms before applying to your face and neck. It adsorbed quickly and didn't leave any tackiness. It left my face feeling soft and hydrated. I did find it to be heavily scented. overall, great product. I can see it helping with anti-aging with continuous use.

This is really quite a clever product. A two part serum that is only mixed when you dispense for maximum effectiveness. One being oil based, the other water based. The product can be dispensed as a small or large 'dose' by turning the dial on the top. Personally I don't find this particularly useful as I'd always go for the larger dose. It would mean less waste if you needed a small amount and it makes sense for a serum which has to be mixed. I think the packaging is great and very easy to travel with. As someone with combination, sensitive skin I can use this as a one step in the evening without the need for a moisturiser on top. It's great for those days when you just want to grab something to put on and get to bed. I found that my makeup would sit much better on my skin following the use of this serum. My skin seemed really hydrated and plump, most likely owing to the glycerin. Overall I think this is a great skincare staple. Whilst it may not achieve miracles it certainly made my skin appear more healthy. I'd rather that my skincare did not contain fragrance so that's a negative for me.

Brightens your face

I have been loving the 7 day trial of @clarinscanada Double Serum that I got free from @thisisbutterly !!!

The little packets were perfect for on the go use as well. It’s a double formulation for anti-aging, hydration and nutrition! The regular product comes in a bottle with a bit of a high price tag - BUT you only use a tiny bit at a time! I can already tell after 7 days that it’s brightening up my face! It has a medium potency floral scent which at first was a bit overwhelming for me - but the scent fades pretty quickly!!

Feels nice on the skin

The samples were individually packaged and each pack had enough serum to use twice (day and night). This serum is lightweight and feels good on the skin. It absorbs well and does not leave a greasy feeling. Due to the limited time of use, I cannot say if it is effective or not. I haven't noticed much difference in my skin but it is worth a try.

Hydrating

I received a sample of this serum from #butterly for free to try in exchange of my honest review. I love using this serum. It’s incredibly hydrating and has a pleasant scent to it. I think over time, it may help with fine lines and wrinkles. It definitely tightens up the face a little. It absorbs into my skin really nicely and doesn’t feel sticky or greasy.

Skin looking better

I've been using Clarins double serum for 7 days and my skin looks radiant. This serum leaves my skin smoother. I feel my face looking better and soft. It is a plant-based formula that’s gentle on the skin and it has a great anti-aging properties. It helps to decrease fine lines. This serum has a thin, slippery texture. My skin looks hydrated. It is easy to combine the products and apply with gently pressure. It does soak in nice and it doesn’t feel heavy. It smells great.

Nice, but is there better for less?

In all fairness, I don't have a long history of using many different types of facial serum products, so my review is an opinion based on only a week's worth of supply, with very little time or other products to compare it to. As many others have already pointed out, the serum goes on and absorbs nicely into the skin, and seems to be hypoallergenic even for my moderately sensitive and acne-prone skin. There is definitely an improved look and feel to my skin after using for a few days. However, as to whether or not it provides long-lasting, permanent improvements, how long you would have to use it for desired results, or whether or not there are other products on the market that are as effective or better, and/or at a more affordable price, that's something I wouldn't be able to answer. You may want to start out by purchasing a month's supply, use it religiously for that month, and then go off of it for a few weeks to see if you notice a sustained improvement, that may help you to formulate your own opinion about whether or not this product is the right one for you. Trial and error is typically the name of the game when it comes to cosmetics and skincare. Everyone's results will vary. Good luck and have fun!

Good serum

I enjoyed this serum very much! It’s light and non greasy! It sinks in super fast and did not leave a sticky feeling afterwards! I used this serum in the morning and only after a few days I started to see some improvement! The scent is also very nice!!

Nice anti aging serum

Thank you Clarins and Butterly for providing me a sample of this product to test and review.
I absolutely loved the heavenly scent this product has. I don’t have sensitive skin so I’m not sure if fragrance in this product can cause irritation. The product comes in two portions, one a light oil and a gel serum. I mixed these two and it turn into light serum. I applied it every night for 7 days and my skin feel more radiant and glowing. I did not see any difference in fine lines though and 7 days are not enough to make any difference in fine lines. My skin feels more soft and hydrated after using this serum. I removed a star because this product pretty expensive. Overall it was a very nice serum with sensational experience. I would recommend this product if you’re in the market looking for a nice anti aging serum and willing to spend a good amount of money.
