Takes a while to absorb

I was given this as a trial and I feel like it's not long enough for me to see a noticeable difference yet. Supposed to make fine lines and pores better but not really seeing it yet. It did take a while to absorb into my skin after application. While it is drying it feels pretty oily and a little tacky feeling. However the smell is not too overpowering. It's got a gentle floral smell which is nice. The serum did help in making my skin feel softer.

I expected more

I received a 7 day sample of this serum and use it nightly for a week. I feel like this serum was so hyped up, that I expected to see fantastic results immediately. Usually I don't look for results until I've used a product for a few months, but this product promises them after only 7 days. As far as those expectations go, I'm not so sure. The serum feels greasy, although the oil part isn't supposed to be greasy, and sits on my skin for a while, so I can't continue on with my face care routine until much later. However, I wake up with soft skin that isn't too shiny, which is why I would still recommend trying it. I didn't see any effect on my pores, fine lines or smoothness, and I needed to add a hydrating serum underneath it after a few days, as my cheeks were starting to get dry. I feel like I may see better results after using it for much longer than 7 days.

Great luxury product but not cruelty-free

Thank you @clarinscanada @thisisbutterly @chickadvisor for sending me a sample of Clarins Double Serum in exchange for my honest review! Overall, I really liked this product but I don't think it's a repurchase for me.

✅21 different plant extracts to help with skin nutrition, oxygenation, hydration, regeneration and protection -- really combating signs of aging. This product has SO many good-for-you ingredients. I'm talking oat, turmeric, mango and so much more. I loved looking through all of the items on their website to get an idea as to what was in the formula.
✅Unique double texture is suited for all skin types.
✅Claim most people saw a noticeable change (more beautiful, smoother, hydrated skin) within 7 days and actually gave out a 7 day trial -- thank you! Major plus for testing.

❎Noticeable floral scent to this product -- I like a nice fragrance as my skin can handle it but I know many try to avoid it! Keep this in mind if you're considering splurging.
❎Speaking of... the price tag on this product may be difficult to swallow! This product retails for almost $140 for a 50mL bottle on their official website.

My experience:
I really enjoyed testing this product. I found that there was plenty of product to mix together (and I loved the aspect of two textures!). My skin really liked this and I did feel like I had more noticeable hydration and my skin seemed to really soak the product in. I generally don't like to use facial oils but this wasn't greasy at all and worked nicely in my night time routine. This is definitely a luxury product and I'm sure my skin will be sad to see it no longer in the routine but because of the cost, it's a really hard justification for me. In addition, Clarins official policy is that they do not test on animals, however, they do sell in parts of the world that have mandatory animal testing laws. I have a few Clarins products that I've had the opportunity to try (and have bought personally!) and truly love but I am trying to be more conscious of what sort of values I align with in the beauty world. I hope that Clarins will change their stance in the near future.

No Difference

I tried the serum for 7 days but unfortunately I saw no difference in my skin. I wasn’t fond of the smell either but thankfully it dissipated once on my skin.

Flared my rosacea

Although I did love it, it flared my rosacea so I had to stop using it. The serum itself is a nice texture. I wish I could have continued to try it.….

My review

So when I used it the first time it felt super sticky on my hands which I don't mind at all. It has no hard smell which i love.

It included two part serums which u r required to.mix together n apply to your skin.

I was afraid I'll break out but I have to say the minute I used it on my skin it felt hydrating n the very next second I felt like I had nothing on my skin and found my self going in for my usual moisturizer to follow as u should after a serum.

I obviously don't see any dramatic anti aging changes but I do fell my skin is a tad more hydrated but not as much as I would like it to be

Would I go out n specifically purchase it for the price it is probably not.

Nice but pricey

I enjoyed using this serum (received complimentary). It smells really nice and fresh but it’s not overpowering. It applies nicely to the skin and sinks in without feeling greasy. After the week of use I do notice my complexion looks bright over overall but I didn’t see any change in my lines or pores. Overall it’s a nice product, but a bit too expensive and didn’t do quite enough for me to purchase it.

It's okay

I'm giving this product 3 stars because after using what was provided to me, I did not notice a difference. It was easy to apply, absorbed into the skin nicely and my face felt soft but I did not notice any drastic changes. The fragrance is way too strong and unnecessary.

Not right for my skin type

I thought the mixing of two types of serums in one is a bit of a gimmick -- I would rather it be pre-mixed for me! And as someone with a very oily type of skin, I don't think this product helped my case whatsoever. My skin did feel soft after, but it only exacerbated the shininess through the day. Also not a massive fan of the strong scent (would prefer unscented).

Strong Scent!

The first thing I noticed was how strongly this serum is scented. Like perfume directly on my face. It felt like forever before I couldn’t notice it anymore. The oiliness of the product made the packaging very slippery for me to press and squeeze. It was messy for me the first couple of tries but I got better at it. Despite how oily the serum is, it dries very quickly on my face and left it feeling very smooth and soft. I received this for free to trial from Butterly, Chick Advisor, but I don’t notice anything dramatic that would make me spend that much on a serum.
