My skin did not like this product:(

I hate leaving negative reviews, I'm not sure what was in this product in particular but it burned my skin. It left it red and patchy, I couldn't use it after the first packet.

Great scented serum

I received this 7-day trial sample from @thisisbutterly @chickadvisor @clarinscanada for my honest review.

First of all, I LOVE the scent of this product as it is mildly fragrant and super pleasant. Secondly, it was extremely difficult to get the product out onto the palm of my hand to mix it up prior to applying it to my face. This process will obviously be omitted upon purchasing a full-sized product. Overall, I think it did an adequate job moisturizing my face overnight. Did I see dramatic results within the 7 days of consecutive use? No. I did not. However, I do need to disclose the fact that my skin was drier and more prone to dullness due to the constant fatigue from raising a newborn. Perhaps with a full night's rest, the serum might have had better results. Unfortunately, I did not see a miracle for my trial. Would I purchase it for myself? Not likely from the cost VS the results. Please do your due diligence in ensuring your skincare products do what they promise and are suitable to your skin type prior to purchase!

Not for me

This product is very oily and just not a product for me thank you however not for me. I wont be purchasing this ever im sorry to say but its trye i wont be

Caused Pimples

My skin is not sensitive and I have rarely ever had any reactions from anything, but using this product i got so many pimples. I personally would not recommend it unless you pimples on your face

Not effective

I would had loved to have been able to review this fully, unfortunately the sample I got for free was so small I am not able to give a proper review for people to know if it works

unenjoyable

I was really excited to try the Clarins Double Serum, however the smell was so off putting I didn't even want to try it. I however did, and found that the serum felt like it just sat on my skin and not really absorbed. For the fact that so many products now can come without the chemical scent it was a big disappointment.

Not great

I was not the biggest fan of this serum. My exact first thought was "eww, that's icky and greasy and everywhere" followed by "whoa, that is heavy fragranced" so personally I wouldn't buy it. The delivery system is very difficult on the samples, which was awful because it was just everywhere and I'm sure the bottle is much better. The texture is like a thin, watery oil, it's difficult to mix, it almost feels dry or gritty somehow, it was not pleasant. Left my skin with an oily residue. My face got itchy from it so I washed it off, still itchy and my skin feels tight. Smells even after you apply it. I also am not a fan of serums that aren't stable and have to remain separate until application. Definitely would not recommend this serum. 2/5 stars because I'm sure the delivery is better on the full sized.

Clarins serum miss

I really love the concept of this serum and I normally love clarins products. However for me this time it missed the mark. The smell was a little off putting and I found it wore a little too oily.

Fragrance is way too strong

I have been wanting to try this serum for a long time but I didnt want to pay $100 for 30ml.
I used this every night for a week. I noticed that my skin felt incredibly soft after only the first night. After using for the full 7 days my skin was definitely softer but that is all I noticed.

The biggest issue I have with the serum is the super strong perfume scent. I tried using different products on top of the serum to try and minimize the fragrance but nothing worked. I could literally still smell the serum when I woke up in the morning. I dont mind if my skincare has a light fragrance but this was so strong that I wouldnt even apply the serum under my nose.

I was really intrigued by the incredible plant extracts that are in this serum but the price and fragrance are just too much to make me want to purchase this serum.

Not for me

Unfortunately I didn't see any noticeable differences in my skin after the 7 days. I liked the gentleness of the Serum and it felt good on my skin. I also liked that it felt light and absorbed quickly without my skin feeling greasy. The scent was nice as well, subtle and pleasant. There really wasn't anything in particular that I didn't like, it just didn't seem to be effective for me after the week.
