It made my skin worse
I was very excited to try out the product. After washing my face, i put a thin layer on my face and it felt very minty and refreshing. But by the next day, my face breakout even more and i got a few more acne showing.
Dried out my skin
I really wanted to like this mask, as Clean & Clear has been a favourite brand of mine for many years. However, I didn't see any results with the mask and it dried my skin out like crazy.
I gave the mask a fair chance and used it 2-3 times a week for 2 weeks. After each use, my skin would feel parched and I was applying for moisturizer than normal. I don't have dry skin at all, so it was odd that I was experiencing it.
As for acne, I didn't notice a great change. There wasn't any new breakouts, but it didn't help get rid of them either.
CLEAN & CLEAR® ACNE TRIPLE CLEAR CLAY MASK
This mask can be used in different ways. I used it as a face wash and i think it's okay for people who are acne prone/ oily skin. My skin is combo and it didn't feel dry on the parts of my skin that are drier. Not a harsh acne mask or cleanser. I just spot treated with the mask for seven days. I don't see any improvement in my acne yet. I'm undecided at the moment, but I think it's worth it to give it a try.
Strong aromas for use around eyes.
I recieved this product for free from chickadvisor for reviewing purposes.
While this product seemed gentle on my skin and worked great for the intended purposes everytime I used it my eyes watered. The combination of aloe and mint while relaxing of the skin it was overwhelming for my eyes. Would leave them red and bothered for hours after using.
Not so sure
I received this product free as a part of the chick advisor, my feelings are mixed.
First, I was annoyed by the package, for some reason it seemed difficult to open and made a mess when I did. I was surprised by the texture, mousse like and soft. I applied it only to the most acne proan areas, despite rinsing thoroughly my skin still seemed to tingle a long while after. I have not experienced any new breakouts and my skin is relatively smooth after use.
Innovative mask
This mask is multifunctional (may be used as cleanser or mask). I wish the formula were a bit thicker, but appreciate that is has great ingredients like aloe, kaolin, bentonite. The salicylic acid wasn't effective for my stubborn, acne, but would work well for those with milder acne.
Basic
I've only recently started using masks so I am by no means an expert when it comes to reviewing their effectiveness. I was excited to try this as I got it free from the product review club and I recently got into using sheet masks and clay masks. I only used this during one week so far, but I've seen no difference. It feels cool when you put it on (most clay ones do) and after washing off, there wasn't anything I noticed. I waited a few days to check if there was progress but everything still looks the same. I'll try it again this week and see if there's any change.
Not what I expected from a clay mask
I really love clay masks and I was excited to get this to try for free as part of PRC. It applies smoothly and has the texture of a mousse. It is also multi-purpose and can be used as a cleanser, apparently. It doesn't really dry and is meant to be washed off after a couple minutes. It feels tingly on the skin as if it is working on cleaning it. However, after washing it off (with a little difficulty), I don't really notice a difference to my skin. It doesn't feel cleaner. I prefer other masks but I guess it is gentle enough that I could safely recommend it to others.
Not for my skin!
I was really excited to try this product out, unfortunately it didn't go well. For the first 30 seconds it seemed very promising but when I removed the mask after 2 minutes my face was super sensitive and had texture and irritation in places that were clear before the mask. I was quite surprised as I have no sensativities and have never ran into issues with any skin care products including other products of the same brand. I received the product for free through ChickAdvisor to test out and give an honest review.
On the fence
My skin has at least 1 active pimple per day and I have combination skin. When I received the Clean & Clear Acne Triple Clear Clay Mask (for free), I was expecting the product to dry the pimples and give my face a fresh and clean appearance, without over-drying my face. What I discovered is that the mask is quite "soft" (not a thick clay texture, but more like a shaving cream), and smells WAY too strong (think chemicals and perfume). When applying the mask, it doesn't dry completely (I may have been using a bit too much). The sensation that the mask gave my face was refreshing, but the result was average. I didn't feel like my skin was much cleaner/clearer after using it 2 times in a week, and felt that my regular skin regimen is enough when compared to my regimen including the Acne Triple Clear Clay Mask. I will go back to a more natural clay mask to truly give my skin the boost it needs at times.
