A Scent of Freshness

Thank you @thisisbutterly and @cleanbeauty_collective for sending me the H2Eau - Golden Citrus Eau de Parfum Rollerball.

At first, the scent smelled like a cleaner of some sorts or a laundry detergent however after giving the scent some time, it grew on me. I tried applying the fragrance on myself for the second time, and I very much enjoyed it. The fragrance gave hints of freshness and was not too citrus-y which made a nice blend. It’s a unique smell however it does not last very long. I appreciate that the fragrance comes in a rollerball so it’s easy to apply and re-apply if needed.

Fresh and long lasting

I'm really enjoying this fragrance in Golden Citrus. It's not as citrus-y as I was expecting, I think because of the addition of musk. It reminds me of a blend of fresh linens and subtle notes of citrus blended together. It's quite unique and I like the light, fresh scent on me. I find the scent to be long lasting as well. It’s never too strong and doesn't bother those around me, and I especially appreciate that it doesn't cause headaches for me as many perfumes can.

I absolutely love this stuff! The smell is wonderful. It's not too strong that it gives me a headache but strong enough that it lasts. Which is great because I have a really sensitive nose. I also love how citrusy of a scent it is, Im a huge fan of fruity smells. LOVE IT!

SPRING VIBES

The golden citrus is nice and fruity and not overwhelming! I rolled it on in the morning and I can still smell it at night! It's vegan and clean ingredients which I appreciate for my body! The roll on fits in your pocket easily or in your purse!

The Perfect Citrus-y Scent!

Whether I am on the way to work or hosting a gathering with my friends, the Clean Reserve Golden Citrus is the best perfume for any on-the-go occasion! It has the right blend of a citrus and floral fragrance. It's long lasting and stays on my clothes for DAYS! Highly recommend for those who love citrusy scents like me.

So fresh!!

My new favourite spring/summer scent! If you enjoy perfumes that are not overwhelming or overpowering then you need to try out Clean Reserve’s golden citrus. It is mild yet refreshing and clean. Key notes in this perfume include Mandarin, Orange Blossom and Musk. Combined this scent reminds me of laundry but with hints of soft floral and citrus. In addition, I love that this perfume is made without phthalates and parabens. Its conscious efforts to ensure sustainable practices and ethically sourced ingredients is a gold star in my book. The rollerball size is perfect to throw into your purse for a quick freshen up during the day!

Clean girl mixed with laundry vibes

Ah ok, it’s giving me “clean girl” summer & laundry vibes. Absolutely not a bad thing, probably just not my type of scent. I was stoked to be sent this out to test since I always try to expand my fragrance horizons, which I like more dark, sweet, unisex leaning fragrances(I would actually love to smell this on any gender) but I like more of a gourmand/vanilla, spicy, compared to watery notes and clean fresh notes like this, but this will be really nice for the warmer weather, and I’m so stoked that it is a clean. fragrance. It’s hydrating to the skin, alcohol-free, cruelty-free, and I really really wish all fragrances could be like that. The longevity is not too bad, I put it on overnight and I could smell it FAINTLY in morning, but this is fully a skin scent, it doesn’t have much projection. Someone can smell it if they hug you/if they’re close to you, so just bear that in mind, especially if you like more of a projection in your fragrances.

All in all, I’ll be keeping this around for warmer weather, not one of my faves, but that is just my fragrance preference. For someone who likes fresh, clean smelling and watery fragrances, this is for you. Also, I really enjoy the smell of laundry, but so many laundry detergents have such toxic chemicals in them, so I’m actually stoked that I have some thing to wear that isn’t just full of toxic chemicals and is a perfume. With all that being said, it’s a win!

LAUNDRY DETERGENT NOT CITRUS

I’m no stranger to Clean Beauty Collective -Every time I step foot into a Sephora, my little legs RUN over to smell Sparkling Sugar from their Clean Reserve collection.

They’ve just introduced their new collection, the Clean Reserve H2EAU - an eco-conscious & sustainable collection inspired by water! Water is the most gentle ingredient Mother Nature has to offer. This fragrance collection is created water-based (instead of oil based)! Meant to be long lasting, hydrating and gentle to your skin!

After reading the reviews, I was super excited! I absolutely adore citrus notes in fragrances - something about citrus makes me feel ‘cleaner’, ‘fresher’, & all around uplifted. My hopes were so so so HIGH!

Upon opening the package, I noticed it was a rollerball - I personally prefer sprays (mostly because my skin sometimes gets upset when I apply roller balls directly on my skin) - BUT, knowing the water-based formula, I was excited to see if I had a reaction or not! I was super happy to see that my skin didn’t react negatively to the application (woot woot!), and I loved the scent once I opened the package. If you love the smell of clean laundry just out of the washer, this is your scent!

It broke my heart to notice that my skin chemistry did not allow the scent to fully shine - while I had no negative reaction skin wise, the scent didn’t react well to my PH (which can happen, fragrance smells differently on everyone!).

This reminds me of Maison Margiela’s Replica collection - authentic & true. Had this been named ‘Saturday Morning Linen’ - it would have matched so much! I didn’t get citrus from this - I honestly thought this reminded me more of laundry detergent than citrus - a STUNNING linen fragrance.

fresh and citrusy!

The Clean Reserve Golden Citrus perfume roller has an amazing citrusy and fresh smell. It will definitely be my go-to perfume this summer because the vibes from the scent make me feel like I'm at a beach! Something i really like about this perfume is how it oxidizes on my skin and how long lasting it is. I have worn it every day for the past week, and it stayed on my skin for at least 8 hours before I reapplied it. The scent is also really calming and not overpowering, and the rollerball itself makes it super easy and convenient to apply as well as carry around on me all day.

Perfect clean-citrusy fragrance!

this is the clean reserve golden citrus perfume - and I honestly like it! I received this product for free from Butterly and the Clean Reserve, for an honest review. The citrus notes are not too overwhelming so much so that they don’t take over the entirety of the scent. It is perfectly complimented by the fresh, *clean* whiff once it sets down.

I found that I like to layer it with another citrus based lotion to really bring out the citrus notes in the fragrance. Also am super impressed with the brand’s ability to achieve such a long-lasting product while using eco-friendly and sustainable ingredients!! Definitely going to be my go-to scent for light, fresh summer days out!

I would recommend this specific fragrance to anyone who loves a mix or fresh and citrus scents. Also if you want to be reminded of long walks at the beach!
