Really good if you wear your contacts alot, since you need to let it sit in its solution for longer than 6 hours. The only contact solution I purchase, and the only one reccomended by my optomitrist
I worked at an optometrists, and this was the only brand that we pushed on our customers/patients. Clear Care is about $20 for two bottles, which last long enough that I can't recall how often I need to get it (infrequently). The bottles come with a small container for putting your contacts in. Once you fill it, it needs to sit for six hours (biggest downside) as the metal in the container reacts with the solution and fizzes all night. I can't stress enough how much safer this solution is - no rubbing, no rinsing (don't accidentally rinse as you take them out!), and fully cleans your contacts better than most other brands can. Highly recommend for the cleanest contacts possible with the least amount of effort!
I've been using this lens solution cleaner for the past 3 years, and it is really good. I like that you don't have to rub it and it cleans thoroughly. Definitely a better clean compared to using my old / non-acidic solution. One negative thing - since it uses hydrogen peroxide, it needs a special case with a specific amount for the lens case, I find that I use up my solution super quickly because I wear my contacts everyday.
I try to buy the 2 x pack of 480mL from Costco, and that saves some money. But each bottle only lasts a month and a half
I have been using this contact solution for at least 15 years! Only brand that doesn't irritate my eyes. Price is decent too..
I switched to Clear Care when I was having irritation in my eyes from my contacts. This product has not caused irritation and does a great job keeping my contacts clean. Have been using for four years and will continue.
despite the high price, this is one of the best contact solutions at there. My contacts feels alot fresher and cleaner after being soaked for 6hours. Which leads to my next point, i hate the fact that if you don't soak it for the allotted time indicated and put it on, it BURNS like crazy! so please read the instructions, and you'll be glad you switched over
I usually use the Renu by Bauch& Lomb and switched To Clean &Clear;cause it was on sale.
I like the fact that you put your contacts vertically in the container instead of horizontally. Seems to me that all the bad stuff would fall at the bottom.
But the problem is think i had a reaction to it cause my eyewe burning when i tried to put my contacts on.
Never tried again.
After trying out the alcon and baush&lomb;solutions simply because they were on sale....to my horror, when i visited my eye doctor, she said i had a "rash" on my eyes due to the use of such solutions. this "rash" was not visible to me...nor did it irritate my eyes. she mentioned that it was probably just my sensitivity to those formulas of solutions. she suggested clear care.
have not had any issues since switching to clear care.
when i look at my contact lenses, they even look cleaner everytime i put them in.
downside is that this is more expensive than all the other solutions....and you use quite a bit more of the solution to fill the little canister-like device that holds your contacts.
My ophthalmologist suggested this system to me since I get build-up on my lenses. I have used a ton of different systems in MANY years of using contacts and I think this the best. Its simple, few steps, and a really good clean. My lenses stay build-up free for longer, and my dry eyes stay comfortable with cleaner lenses. You get a new case (with the metal disk) in each box so you always keep a fresh case. I love that I don't have a separate cleaner solution ... just one bottle. The only down side is that if you need to re-wet your contacts, or put them back in after a short period, you can't use the liquid out of the bottle... it needs 6 hrs to neutralize.
