Definitely helped my acne

I was struggling to find any products/regimens that were helping my acne when it flared up again in my mid-twenties. I used the kit (cleansing gel and moisturizing gel) where this is the middle step. I've been using it for a few weeks now and there is a definite improvement in my acne. I wouldn't say it's a miracle worker and it's not completely cleared but I can go outside without foundation now!

Fantastic Toner!

Clinique's Acne Solutions Clarifying Lotion is great for teenage and adult acne alike. It is not actually a lotion in the traditional sense - it is liquid and applied with a cotton ball like a toner. You then apply your moisturizers over top. I find that this product is essential in settling down any time I find that I am breaking out a bit more. It helps to clear out congestion and take away excess oil. It pairs well with other Clinique products!

If there is an acne product out there, whether prescription, over the counter, or on the shelf I have tried it and at every price point. I am not a Dr, BUT I have had acne now for 28 years so I would say that I am an expert on this subject. I finally found this amazing product from Clinique about a year and a half ago.

It is step 3 of the 3 step process you DO NOT need the other 2 steps, nor any of the complimentary products. This is where the solution is. It will sting and make your face dry, red and itchy for about a week or 2 but then your skin will thank you. It will be smoother, clearer, and less oily ... as a bonus, it won't bleach your towels in the process.

If you do get a pimple, hormonal or otherwise, it will clear up much quicker. It is more expensive than other products who promise similar results, but at this price point you actually get those results. In the past year and a half I have stopped using this product on 2 separate occasions to try cheaper products and have paid the price, metaphorically on my face. I keep going back to this product because it actually works. Don't hesitate, just buy it!!

Removes acne scars

This stuff worked on my skin to exfoliate and renew the skin on my chin which was riddled with blemish marks. They are fading and smoothing out. This has a very strong alcohol sort of smell to it that makes the eyes water if you get too close. But it works. Started off slowly every other night and am now able to use it every day.

Doesn't work on severe acne

Unfortunately this emergency gel didn’t work do well for my outbreaks. I really wanted this to work however I think that if you have a lot of breakouts it’s too overwhelming for it. It also does take a little while for you to first see results like around one week and even then it doesn’t reduce pimple size all the way. Clinique is a very good brand and I have had success with a lot of their other products this just wasn’t powerful enough for me. It is also very drying where you place it on your face and I think that a lot of drug store brands are just as effective like equate's 10% benzoyl peroxide gel.

I recommend this in only some situations. If you have only a small acne problem, then go ahead, but if you're having a full scale acne issue, please just go to the doctor. I found this only mildly helpful, and in some situations (like when I was on acne medications) very drying. As a ongoing maintenance product, this and the whole acne solutions set works, but on a person who has mass breakouts, its better to just save your money for something clinical, because this probably wont do the trick. I like using this on my t-zone, and still find it helpful, but when I was having extreme acne issues, it only made things worse.

I have extremely oily and acne prone skin. This product has been miraculous for my kind of skin. Its an amazing value for the price because you only need a tiny bit and you can feel the skin clearing up. I have been using it for the last 2 years and on my 6th bottle already. I would definitely continue purchasing it and would definitely recommend it.

This lotion is great for making your skin look brighter, smoother, and softer. A slight alcohol scent to it, but goes on easily, and a little goes a very long way. Fabulous for using after washing, and before moisturizing.

I have always struggled with bad acne growing up and have tried every brand you could think of. From proactive to drug store brands. I started using Clinique products about a year ago and see a dramatic difference! I use this lotion every day in the morning before I apply my cover up and when i go to bed. It leaves your skin so smooth!! Defiantly worth every penny.

I love this lotion as a base lotion. I use the lotion day and night as preventative measures as my skin has now cleared up after using this range for a little over a month. I do believe this does have a little bit of a drying affect on my skin, but it isn't anything I cannot control with moisturizing. I am not sure why exactly this is called a lotion. IT is effective and that is what matters to me.
