Doesn't work on severe acne

Unfortunately this emergency gel didn’t work do well for my outbreaks. I really wanted this to work however I think that if you have a lot of breakouts it’s too overwhelming for it. It also does take a little while for you to first see results like around one week and even then it doesn’t reduce pimple size all the way. Clinique is a very good brand and I have had success with a lot of their other products this just wasn’t powerful enough for me. It is also very drying where you place it on your face and I think that a lot of drug store brands are just as effective like equate's 10% benzoyl peroxide gel.

I recommend this in only some situations. If you have only a small acne problem, then go ahead, but if you're having a full scale acne issue, please just go to the doctor. I found this only mildly helpful, and in some situations (like when I was on acne medications) very drying. As a ongoing maintenance product, this and the whole acne solutions set works, but on a person who has mass breakouts, its better to just save your money for something clinical, because this probably wont do the trick. I like using this on my t-zone, and still find it helpful, but when I was having extreme acne issues, it only made things worse.
