This is a great product it does work it moisturizes and leaves the skin feeling soft and smooth I would recommend this product. However I would not recommend this product to someone on a budget it is the 3rd part to a 3 step system you get 4.2 oz and I paid $25.00 for it .
I hate this stuff. It made my skin look like someone had rubbed grease on it and was sticky like honey. When I first tried it I thought maybe with time it would sink in or after a use or two it would get better but it never did. There is no fragrance to it which is good for most people but I enjoy things that smell good.
I have oily skin, and the SA recommended that I use this rather than the lotion.
It is definitely more lightweight, didn't feel too heavy, and was quickly soaked into my skin.
Unfortunately I can only use this during the summers. I found that when I used it in the winter, it didn't provide enough of a moisturizing effect for me, and thus left is dry, (of course considering it is winter).
I used a 125ml bottle, twice a day, for a little over 6 months before it was gone, and I think I paid $31.
So for the price, it wasn't too bad at all.
I was not at all impressed by this product!! Instead of helping to mositurse it cause my skin to breakout....and i believe it might have even been the culprit for this weird rash on my jawline!! granted my skin is very sensitive, but after reading the other reviews on this product i most definitly do not recommmend this product to anyone
I have combination skin, and this moisturizer is only effective for me in the winter. It absorbs easily and moisturizes well. In the summer, when I tend to sweat a bit more, this moisturizer seems to enhance my sweating. My face gets all moist (not the good, glowing kind of moistness, either), and I feel like I need to wipe it every few minutes...yechh...
I use the gel version of this in the summer, which fares much better with the sweating, but I'm not too crazy about either of the products and am looking to switch to a better lotion that contains SPF.
Clinique's Dramatically Different moisturizing lotion was too heavy for summer, so I puchased this gel for $10.50. It's decent, and moisturizes without feeling too heavy, but once in a while, on a bad skin day, it seems to give my skin a burning sensation. This is definitely a good alternative to the DDM lotion if you're looking for something similar, but lighter.
I have slightly dry, sensitive, acne prone skin and I used this exclusively as my moisturizer for years...purely for the fact that it didn't break me out at all. It absorbs quickly and does a good job. I really needed something a bit more heavy duty on th moisture side, though, and have since switched to Philosophy's Hope in a Jar which fits the bill nicely.
I think Dramatically Different would be a good moisturizer for someone with normal or combination skin.
This one is definitely better for oily/combination skin... it was actually made for those with that kind of skin type! I find that sometimes there isn't enough moisture though, seeing that it is a gel and not a lotion. I like how it is lightweight and non greasy.
It's a very nice "night: moisturizer for oily skin because it has no SPF, and it's not heavy at all. You won't wake up with an oil slick on your face!
Ick. It does not work for oily skin. Causes excess shine and breakouts. I used it use it when I was a kid, because my mother would get samples of it. Back when I was a child I didn't have trouble with oily/shiny skin!
In fact, for oily skin they recommend Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel. Speaking of which, I should probably write a review for that one too!
I used this product as a three step skin regimen and I hated it. The moisturizer did not hydrate my skin properly and after applying it my skin still felt tight, and it caused me to break out.
