If you have combination skin, I highly recommend this line! I feel like it does a really good job of cleaning my skin of all the make-up and impurities it has been exposed to, without being overbearing, over-drying, or harsh. I use this cleansing system every night and my face has never felt more smooth!

LOVE!! I have been using the 3-step system for over a year now. I found my skin looked noticeably clearer after 3 uses of the product. I use it day and night and find the regular size bottles last a fairly long time, so I do not mind the price. I tend to have dry skin and the moisturizer keeps my skin soft and moisturized all day long. This system is quick enough that I do it every day twice a day.

The original 3 step system that I got from clinique was all the gel moisturizer, number 3 lotion, and the bar soap. They said these would work best for me because my skin was oily. The lotion ended up being too harsh. Once I switched the lotion to the number 1 one and started using the gentle gel cleanser instead of the bar things have been great! my skin is not as oily and I have less breakouts. My favourite product out of the three is the dramatically different gel moisturizer- it feels so light and refreshing!

Have used this religiously every day and it is amazing! Love how it exfoliates so gently and makes your skin feel so refreshed. It is so easy to use and great quality for a really great price.

My skin has cleared up and has a glow with it.

I have always had problem skin and I thought I was doomed to deal with the odd combination of breakouts and dry skin. I was having reactions to sunscreen on my face and someone referred me to Clinique. I was setup with a sunscreen, but didn't jump on the 3 step system right away. The skin advisor gave me a sample of the moisturizing gel to try as she was sure it would do wonders for my skin - I was back in 2 days buying the whole system. I use it at least once per day, and my skin has never been better. It is a more expensive products, but it actually works out cheaper in the long run as the products last longer and I spend less on other products. I've slowly converted almost completely to their makeup as well. Can't recommend highly enough - a system for every skin type!

Before switching to this three step system I had horrible acne, uneven skin tones and dryness. The soap and the cream are with every penny as you only use a little bit. I will never buy any other skin care prod it's ever again

I recently went back to Clinique because I wanted a more cost effective system. I bought the packaged three step in #2 (dry/combo) per the questionnaire system as well as a couple of other things I wanted to try. Within a week I ended up with dry, red, scaly skin. I didn't want to give up as this system had worked very well for me back in the day. I switched some things around and got it right and added in Take the Day off Balm and Moisture Surge. This is what I found (and hope it helps):
1. The liquid soap is NOT for me (went back to the bar version and the eczema disappeared.The liquid isn't actually soap, but detergent). Has a lot of sodium (salt) which can be irritating and drying.
2. The questionnaire diagnosing system is not foolproof. Unfortunately, many clinique SA's think it is and advise wrongly.
3. It's better to error with a milder number "system" than stronger.
4. Clarifying lotions #2, 3 and 4 are not for anyone with dry or sensitive skin- too strong. I reacted to the menthol in #2, which was another reason I had a problem, but #1 is fine.
5. You may have some purging, but should not have any burning or itching.
6. Overall, This is a reasonably priced system especially considering the escalating prices of drugstore products and the overworked, overpriced, and drop in quality of other lines (Erno Laszlo and Arcona, I'm lookin' at you!)

I absolutely love this skincare kit. Non greasy& doesn't dry out my face. Clinque knows Skin!
