Smells horrific
Not only did I not find it moisturizing, but the smell was horrendous. It reminded me of school glue. It's possible that if I applied it a few more times, I would feel more moisturized, but I just can't stand it.
Great Product!
Nothing more to say than it's a great product with a great value. Mattifies and truly blurs your skin to look better that it is! My go-to daily moisturizer in the morning, could not recommend it any more!
Love the product, not the price
Initial reaction: It felt really thick on my fingers and when i started applying it all I could smell is what gave me true elementary school flashbacks - this stuff smells just like glue.
BUT... I love it. It felt really good on my face, I ended up liking the thickness of it. It doesn't feel thick on the skin, but it does feel like it gives a bit of a blur to imperfections. That is not to say that it completely hides them.. let's be real, this is a moisturizer. But I was very happy with the look and feel of it. MY skin is often very dry and this helped so much with that, for the whole day.
I really, really want more (I had received this as a sample at Sephora).. but at $40 for 50ml I'm not likely to make that splurge.
Clinique does it again, good product!
It is thick but it absorbs super fast. I like the cooling sensation that you immediately get on the face. I was told that if I leave it in the fridge it would be even better and would invigorate the skin, and yeah, it is the best. I have super oily skin and this worked good for me. Great to use before you apply foundation. I wish they would sell bigger jars. Price is good. I would buy it again.
Good for dry skin
I like the moisturizing effects of this product, but the consistency isn't my favorite. It's a bit like petroleum jelly. The lack of fragrance is great for those with skin sensitivities, and it does hydrate. I wouldn't recommend for those with oily skin though, as it is quite thick. For the "blurring, soft focus" claims...I don't really see it. Still, a good moisturizer.
Like an airbrush in a Mosturizer
I initially tried this face cream because I got a deluxe sample of it with a Sephora order. I just thought it was going to be like any other moisturizer, but I was very surprised to find that it's not. Clinique Hydro-blur is unique. It has sort of a smooth, silicone-like feeling to it between your fingers. When you smooth it over your face you can actually visibly see it blurring and smoothing out the look of your skin. I was really shocked when I first used it because other blurring products I've tried before have no worked like that. This moisturizer feels good on my face and does not irritate my sensitive skin. It's an impressive little product that I would buy in future.
Favorite moisturizer
I love this moisturizer. I often use it as a primer as it has a thick consistency. I find it makes my skin look smooth and it helps with any dry patches. I've used small samples, deluxe samples, and full size. I repurchase this over and over as I think it is so good as a dual purpose product.
Not bag, but just too average
I received a sample of this from Sephora, and recently tried it while on vacation. There is nothing wrong with the moisturizer; it did hydrate my skin a good deal, but it didn't feel like anything different from what I've purchased at the drug store. Were it not for the hefty pricetag associated with the Clinique brand, I might say give it a try, but it just didn't do anything out of the ordinary for me. I have oily skin, and it didn't exactly mattify or blur out my pores, either, so it could be that this works for better skin types, but for me, it was kind of a flop. Wouldn't pay money for it.
This smells terrible!
I got a sample of this from sephora and tried it the other day, but it was super thick and smelled like school glue. I immediately washed it off, so I can't even tell you if it was moisturizing or not. Just the smell of it turned me off and I had to get it out of my nose. I don't know if it dried out or if it is supposed to be that thick, but I definitely wouldn't buy this.
I received this as a one time sample. I found that it really did cover up my pores. I always used benefit's Porefessional but lately have been finding that when I apply it and then apply my foundation the porefessional like peels off and theres weird clumps on my face. But with this i didn't experience it and had good coverage. It did moisturize - i didn't have any dry patches. The end result was good. Likely to buy the full version - but $32 is a bit steep.
