It's ok, prefer 2 separate items

I received several samples of clinque beyond perfecting foundation and concealer so I was able to try out the makeup for free for a couple of weeks , I received that many samples :)

I love free makeup!!!

Clinique is a brand that is average, not basic but not high end, kind of in between...and that is how I viewed this makeup.

It was average, nothing special. I liked their concept fitting two makeup into one product, but for me t did not work. I prefer a separate foundation,a no separate concealer. Usually you prefer one thicker than the other or shade different for different coverage such as under eye dark circles. I found it was too simple. I couldn't get that even color base tone for my face as with other makeup. I found it applied thinner and thicker in various areas of the face a small well as when it smudged throughout the day, same thing thinner and thicker sections of face visible. This bothered me.

I found it did not go on as smooth as other foundations, it looked caked on.

Over all good concept, but didn't work for me.

1st have very sensitive skin, acne prone skin.

well guys i'm a little confused about this foundation...

if i use it alone its not my fave foundation, it transfers and .... i just don't like it that much, and its not really good as concealer for under eyes.

however when i mix it with my cover fx foundation (which i didn't like because it was too oily and too yellow) it became just wonderful ! i mean i got the perfect foundation for me, the right shade, the right undertone. haha, thats juste magic, i never knew that mixing 2 foundations would give me the foundation i wanted.

the other thing is the packaging is not the perfect one for a foundation, i mean you dip the brush thingy inside and then put it on your face and back to the bottle... so i only use it with a brush.

I really couldn't make this foundation work on its own as it ended up looking oily shortly after it had been applied which I was disappointed about, but mixing it with another foundation is another story! I add a little bit of this to some of my esteé Lauder double wear and it makes it just the right consistency to blend easily; I wouldn't purchase again since it becomes a little bit pricey

The foundation gives full coverage. For some reason, it has a yellowish tinge on my skin so maybe I chose the wrong shade but aside from that, it works well. The formula is very creamy and applies nicely. However, I will not be purchasing this foundation again as it didn't suit my skin tone.

This foundation covers great, but made dry patches I didn't even know I had stand out. It looked ok when I applied, but as time went on, it sunk into every fine line and pore on my face. I was also a greasy mess within a few hours.
